Hope this is ok, as the last thread got a bit jumbled, and I was offered a deal there, that's no longer in place, although I did get a decent review from James there. This is slightly different than the last package added there, as it includes a heavy weekend schedule, which offers a few good chances of a huge return, I feel i'm due (who doesn't)..

I play similar events on a regular basis.

Stars Screen name: sonicmatter

My OPR http://officialpokerrankings.com/pokerstars/sonicmatter/poker/results/6AEDE3D58A5A4C758823755CCACAB8AE.html?t=2&scp=600

Have other references, and have completed stakes in the past.

The package will consist of the following, I may change it slightly if deep in a few a concentrate on those, and will play sats, which has always been +ev for me in the past.

Package is a total of $600

Selling

5% = $30
10% = $60
25% = $150

Shows buy in and expected cost with rebuys and add ons.

Hi,

I thought you were offering 60/40 split in the last thread?

Will take the lot if that's still on.

Was about to offer a 55/45 in your favour, would you take 75% Alex and Ripple the 25% at the same % split??

Happy to agree to that, thanks for the offers.

Wait I'm not sure I understand the deal.

I'm paying 100% of the buyin for 50% of the profits? Or in your latest offer 55?

I'm glad I double checked. This is like selling at 2.0.

I think you mean / should sell EITHER

1) I'm playing $600 worth of tournaments, and selling 60% at 1.0. 10% = $60. Then you put up 40% of the buyins yourself.

OR

2) The sort of deal I think you mean, where investors offer up the entire buyins, in return for usually at least 70% of the profits.

I'm going with what I'm advised, was selling for 50/50, that didn't show much interest, or maybe it was in the wrong place. Spoke to some people on PM who said stick to 50/50, among other things. So came up with the package, I want to be fair, so am open to offers, negotiations.

I was going to offer the 60/40 with 50/50 on top 5 finishes, as someone else suggested that and it looked fair.

I'm new to offering stakes, doing it as I have time on my hands but money tied up elsewhere, plus I want coaching, although am working hard on my game daily, and have been told I've decent enough results this year over a fair sample to be a decent investment.

I'm open to offers/advice.

If that's standard then I'm ok with it, was only going on advice from others.

When there's no makeup standard is 70/30 in backers favour + stakeback, sometimes 75/25+ stakeback. 50/50 is usually only for long term deals with makeup.

He is selling a package of small/micro tournaments so this isn't the same as selling one bigger buyin tournament at 1.xx. So a higher markup is somewhat justified in comparison.

What that price is, is ofc subject to debate.

With all due respect you have little posts on the forum and not a huge amount of vouches an you're not willing to put a penny up yourself.

Play a day package for 50 dorra or something, buy 50 pc yoursel and sell the rest at 1.2, slowly you will get respect and credibility on the forum ad potentially get taking on a a long term horse.

At the moment you are selling 50% at 2.0 and just covering it up as 50/50 if I'm not mistaken.

We are a big and united community here I hope people don't just punt because it's the in thing to do, there is a post limit for a reason and really think you shoul build up yor rep before trying to shift such packages here.

I'm going to be putting in huge hours on this package, isn't it fair to ask for 60/40 on 100% at these stakes. I have reasons for not wanting to invest my own funds but will buy 25% if everyone thinks that's right.

I appreciate all constructive criticism, and what you say is fair. I've not been active that much on here in the past, and don't have any history, have lurked since 2006. I'm really not trying to cover anything up and have tried to make it clear in all post I was unsure the right price/% to offer, I've seen similar packages for the same stakes, and sold action for the MM's on 2plus2 at 50/50 before I had enough posts to sell on here.

I have met many people who post on here when I was dealing the circuit in the UK and Ireland at places like DTD, UKIPT's, IPO, Ladbrokes and many more, knowing who the people are who are staking me is important, if that includes tournament history reviews/coaching great. It's one of the reasons I'd prefer to sell on here.

I've got decent results, am not really looking to grind $1 tournaments, and with all due respect think with recent results I'm a decent investment, others have said that. I respect why you said it, but hope you'll agree if you look at my results/volume i've put in a fair grind already.

So as the offers I've had are not going to be discussed til September I decided to sell these packages, just unsure as is clear a few are on what a fair price is.

Yea, this.

50/50 (2.0) on a one off punt without putting anything up yourself is pretty ridic tbh.

You said you were advised to put this up?

If you are happy to put up 25% of yourself then just sell 75% of your action, if you believe you are decent value then put a markup which reflects this.

GL whatever you choose.

I was out with James last night and asked him about you, hence my interest here. I think you've misunderstood quite how it works, understandly so, it's very confusing when you first start out, with people branding about all sorts of terms, I certainly don't think this falls in the "taking the piss" category (although on paper, it actually is lol), so I disagree with pleno that you are "covering it up as 50/50".
