TWO WORD POKER STORY Thread Join blonde today be full member by tomorrow
What's the problem with that.
Are we elitist and clique on blonde all of a sudden?
The number of posts a person has made doesn't mean anything to me. If someone has made 10 posts they have just as much right to be heard as if they had made 10,000.
That being said, I do see your point. The number of posts a person has made does not necessarily reflect the amount they have contributed to poker discussion. My point is that this should be irrelevant anyway.
WOW. I have just got home from work and am amazed to see this thread here.
Looking at it I’m not sure if I opened this can of worms or the tank did. But no matter.
I was just stating a Fact that the thread gets up my nose, does it matter if someone has posted 10,000 times or once? NO. people are free to post all the old drivel they want. And like you said, I don’t have to read it,( I NEVER DO ANYWAY) It just get’s my goat that it always ends up at the top. I would never have brought this up, But someone started a thread annoying things, and this is one of mine.
Someone made a great suggestion……… Never show this thread button. If I have upset anyone well……

The two word thread is a nightmare from a moderators point of view
Every 10 minutes there are 20 new posts to be read, and usualy, if there is something a bit iffy, no one member's "two words" are offensive in their own right
Does that make any sense?

Good post Mr Dog.
I was going to mention this. Collective responsibilty is an issue. However if you know your own two words will add to the thread's lowering of the tone then people should have a think first.
It's one thing being part of the sentence that builds up to a crescendo of smut (without knowing how far it'll go) but quite another IMO to be the one topping the sentence off with the words that make it make sense.
Ok that was hard to explain. I'll shut up now.

OK, my last post on the subject.
Some people really need to get this into perspective!!!
There are many threads on here I have no interest in, and consequently dont read them - simple. Do I complain about them? No. Each to their own I say.
As for saying that this has no place on Blonde, well, the "Welcome Sarah" thread in my eyes is no different to the two word story thread - did people complain about this? No - I wonder why.
So, bottom line - IF YOU DONT LIKE A THREAD , DONT READ IT!!!!
Ok - end of my say
(Now, if someone was being talked about on there and didnt like it, then MAYBE, just MAYBE i could understand)

well i didnt post on that thread once, and have just realised, thanks to tank posting all the posts collectively, that i seemed to be mentioned on it a few times.
I think this is not right, and out of order, maybe im just getting paranoid here, but ever since the Blonde bash, poppet and myself have been talked about openly, mostly just a giggle and a laugh, but some people have to keep it up and never let up.
You have to remember that Poppet has a boyfriend and i too have a lovely girlffiend that reads this forum occasionally, i was even thinking about asking her to join up as Mrs Scottish Dave, however the way things are going id rather not at present, which is sad.
sorry if people think im over reacting, at first it was a good laugh, but people are getting nervous to posts now, for fear of it being turned around against them.

ok can i just add, when i posted my reply regarding me being offended about the thread talking about me, i replied to this having only read tanks full version.
However after going into the actual two word poker story and reading it bit by bit, i must take it back slighty, i found myself laughing my head off at most of it, including the bits regarding me, i now realise that it was all taken im great humour, and i can understand M3Boy saying that its only a laugh, it actually is lol
so im sorry i over reacted, in future ill make sure i see the full picture before posting my thoughts.
Cheers

Capn Antilles....
Good post! It's interesting, all of us who have posted on two words have at some point snuck in and posted something they KNOW will lead someone on to carry on their nefarious line of though, and have run out giggling to themselves. There is generally a line not to be crossed, however.
It is collcetive responsibiity you are very right, and as a whole this forum is exceptionally good at that, but at the end of the day no-one is forced to read anything, and if people wish to read things they know are going to outrage them, then that is their own look out!
As an example (a mild one) I never read any of the betting tips on greyhounds etc, I despise it as a sport, and think the way the animals are treated after their racing days are over is disgusting. Do I go in there and post my views? Nope - course not.. I just stay away from those threads.
Conversely there is a great collective respect for each other on this forum, and as Mr Baron so eloquently points out we need to keep that in mind. Once we lose respect for each other we descend into the mire of all the other forums we have left to come here.
