I'm not as confident about the Hornets dispatching Palace as you Anthony!

Looks useful that centre back doesn't he?   Has Vicente played any games this year so far?  Will take him a while to get up to match fitness I think.

Can't see us meeting their demands (apparently £3M), breaking our record on a centre back. We only have one centre back (Greer done hamstring, Dunk on trial still in London).

Palarse have dodgy defenders, Vydra will have a field day. If your slow full back plays v Bolasie it could be high scoring though and a great game of football, glad it is on Sky.

Vicente played V Hull first game of season away where he battered them whole game and somehow lost. He then played v blackburn away, and probably wasn't the best idea on a cold tuesday night for him, but Poyet said he just needs 30 mins more and will be ready to start.

Would be a top 4 player still if he wasn't injury prone!

Jeez.

Second bid of £2.4M bid rejected for a HUGE CENTRE BACK. Dutch U21. PSV, Ajax, Sunderland, Everton in for him too but fancies brighton over all of them according to his agent.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6pRKv9C3SI

If we get him in, and with our new s3xy striker hitting it off already V arsenal, play-offs are very realistic.

Especially now that the best player to ever have played in the championship is fully fit again after being out since first game of the season.

Oh and Watford will smash Palarse.

Ha yeah such an edge being a nice city, imagine if a London club went in for him.

irrespective of result (0-0 currently), why would Zola rest Vydra and Deeney for a game Watford need to win to go second?

Geijo and Forestieri are top draw and he is trying to keep them happy but I don't like the fact he has made 6 changes for an away game.

Last time we did this we lost 3-4 to Charlton.

Palace have yet to be smashed all season since our first three games, so to predict, convincingly, Watford will turn us over is nearly a joke. We have't lost by more than one goal since those first three games either, only losing 3 of those in 25 games. A lot of draws too, that we were often close in turning into wins.

Of our having dodgy defenders jibe, we indeed have two in Peter Ramage and Dean Moxey. Currently too, we have a left back playing right back in Jonathon Parr and he is playing pretty poorly because of it. So all three of those have been featuring for a lot of our recent games, which is a shame.

We have got Jazz Richards (on loan from Swansea) in to go right back who looks like a good quality Championship standard right back, leaving Parr to start in left back, which means both flanks are solid. Then we are waiting on Darcy Blake or Danny Gabiddon to come back to replace Peter Ramage at centre back, with Damien Delaney reviving his career with us at the moment with top displays. Can't over hype how badly i think Peter Ramage affects our team at the back, making us look pretty shaky (noticeable when he is not playing and Delaney is partnered by someone else), but unfortunately I think Holloway rates him better than Darcy Blake, and Gabiddon is very injury prone, so I think it will turn out we are stuck with him.

Need South Africa to lose to Mali on Saturday, freeing Dikagcoi's return for the Watford game. So Dungbeetle, I would probably be loosely sweating that.

Really looking forward to listening into the Palace game tomorrow and so hope it will be the start of a great run. 3 points please.

Vicente does indeed look good, but as you said so injury prone, 20 odd games is a disappointing turnout for over a year's play (wiki stats). If he had no problems, there would be no way he would have joined Brighton in the first place. So a bit of a luxury by the sounds of it.

Also think that Brighton will struggle to override the 5 points deficit to get into the playoffs, but definitely think if the top 6 are going to change they will be the ones in. I am worried by Ulloa, that big striker up front, as you now have a Murray type player and his scoring record in Spain was impressive. He could well be the missing link up front for you guys, so the jury is out until we see a few more games. Will he be partnering CMS? What is your formation Flushy/Anthonyl?

Think Boro and Hull look the most likely to be dropping out of the race, or indeed Palace. Just think we will kick on shortly and have the same run of great results we did earlier in the season.

G Boyd to palarse as per pboro chairman.

Not a bad player, not sure where you will play him!

Not really aware of what hes about or where he best plays. Have him down as a playmaker with a good eye and a touch of flair. Not the sort of strength player like Jedinak. So I think he will plop right in front of Murray in place of Garvan who now I feel desperately sorry for and hope he gets a new contract at the end of the season. If he doesn't from us he would be a great addition to another squad. Helps too that Boyd is a big Palace fan. Can Boyd play up front as the lone striker? Was wondering if he could be our back up to Murray?

              Speroni
Richards Delaney Gabiddon Parr
       Dikagcoi Jedinak
   Bolassie  Boyd  Zaha
              Murray

Now if the team above trots out at any stage of the season, I think we will be in absolutely great shape. Salivating a little now tbh, as that looks tasty.

However, our team tomorrow will probably look like:

            Speroni
Richards Delaney Ramage Parr
       Jedinak Butterfield
   Bolassie  Williams  Zaha
             Murray

Haven't talked much about Williams. A great passer of the ball and hassler. But he is very small and slight. Can be knocked off the ball easily and will need to be working on his strength. I think he is still a teenager but Holloway likened him to David Silva and the way he moves and passes I can see what he is getting at. But he strength really is letting him down at the moment, but one for the not so long future, before I start singing his praises, much like I did about Zaha this season.

Don't know about Jacob Butterfield really. Sheriff Fatman, can you help out there? I know he was great for you, but I don't think he has performed that well since he came back from injury for other clubs.

And anyone know what Jazz Richards is like? Think he played against Chelsea in the league cup and did well.

You are very, very lucky to be getting George Boyd. The best, most consistent player to wear a Posh shirt in my 30 years at London Road.

Daragh has been paying mega wages by our standards to keep him the last few years and he's at his peak right now.

Had he had half a yard more pace he'd have been in the Prem ages ago, but he's more than capable of playing at that level. He's not a striker though ffs!

This is about right...

Bolassie  Boyd  Zaha
              Murray

Also he's a lifelong Palace fan and your gaffer has always been a fan. Boydy needs love from his boss and I expect he'll make the difference for your mob. Enjoy.

This is a sad day for Poshies.

Hopefully he kicks on for us and does great. Our front four would look superb with his inclusion and if the deal goes ahead I would love him to be playing against Charlton on Saturday, the team that released him.

About Mile Jedinak, an interesting interview below with Ian Holloway amidst the interest from Stoke who are apparently prepared to fork out £2.2m for him, with his contract running out next summer. The big statement being Holloway probably hasn't worked with anyone better.

Watford pulled out/missed out on Jeremy Helan depending on who you believe and he has gone back to Sheff Wed.

They have now bid £2 million for Nathan Redmond of Birmingham instead?  Anyone know anything about him - remember him being hyped a year or so back, but seems to have stalled a bit.
