Looks like our bet may be a tight race until the end of the season Camel. You have the game in hand and 1 point ahead but 13 odd games left. Could be down to the last game. Tuesday 12th March, Brighton play their game in hand against Barnsley away from home, which will finally put an end to the ace in the hole and put everything more bare.

And at this point I remember we play Brighton in the not too distant future at their ground, 17th March in fact. We will be the 5th game they'd have played in 16 days, eek! A real 6 pointer if ever I saw it!

Ha went to Cardiff last night, still not quite sure how we won that match...

Makes a nice change from getting draws and not knowing how you didn't win.

Not wrong

Going to the 3 upcoming home games (Derby, Sheff Wed, Blackpool) and the away game is live on the box (Wolves) so will get to see the Horns 4 games in a row!

Feels like this is our chance, as while Palace and Hull were matching us last week they were at home and we were away.  I presume both of them have some away assignments coming up and I reallly have to fancy us to get 9/12 points from these 4 games although this is normally when the Championship kicks you in the nuts when you have an innocuous lookig home game.

Dung, I would have thought April is the 'make or break' month for the Orns;

    Championship
Hull v Watford    Tue 2 Apr    19:45
Show
Championship
Watford v Cardiff    Sat 6 Apr    17:20
Show
Championship
Peterborough v Watford    Sat 13 Apr    15:00
Show
Championship
Millwall v Watford    Tue 16 Apr    19:45
Show
Championship
Watford v Blackburn    Sat 20 Apr    15:00
Show
Championship
Leicester v Watford    Sat 27 Apr    15:00

Basically, its all in their hands     ....     win the lot - finish at the top (or a close 2nd).

Sad, sad day.

Georgey Boyd will never again wear a Posh shirt. Gutted. Cereal.

Dull City apparently coughed up seven figures to take him for the rest of this season for their dull, oh so dull 1-0 promotion push, ahead of a permanent deal in the summer.

Not good for either Posh survival hopes or any Watford promotion bets, but glglgl Boydy, you deserve your shot at the big time. Utter legend.

Surprised McAnthony let him go now, just as safety looks a real possibility.

During the window, when you looked dead for all money - fair enough.

Keeping him and losing 200k on his transfer value (?) seems like pretty good business if he helped keeping you up

The fact I have in my favour is the strong likelihood, that for the last 2-3 games you won't have anything to play for and will rest players, while Brighton will probably still be having to go all out for points.

I like my side of the bet.

Darragh and FerJu were desperate to keep Boydy to the end of the season, but Boydy didn't want to wait until the summer and then hope to be picked up by a Premiership club. He's 27yo and wanted the chance asap.

GB is out of contract in the summer and would have left for free, so Hull went into seven figures to get him now. It wasn't about the money though; Boydy has been on crazy wages for ages - Ipswich couldn't match what we pay a while ago - it's just that he was desperate to leave now, much as Darragh and Fergie tried to change his mind.

So this is effectively a transfer outside the transfer window.  Will the press be banging down Hull's door for exploiting this heinous loophole at the expense of their promotion rivals?

Zaha is out for tomorrow with a dead leg, may be on the bench at a push. Bolasie will come in to replace him, so him and Williams on the wings.

A shame about Boyd going to Hull, definitely could have done with him at Palace and if it wasn't for Forest I am sure he would be a Palace player.

He was outstanding against Millwall and it is rather fitting that that was his last performance for Peterborough, especially as he snagged a goal himself.

Understandable Boyd wants to have a chance in the big time - what player doesn't?

But surely being a free agent is a better way to achieve this?
