Sad, sad day.

Georgey Boyd will never again wear a Posh shirt. Gutted. Cereal.

Dull City apparently coughed up seven figures to take him for the rest of this season for their dull, oh so dull 1-0 promotion push, ahead of a permanent deal in the summer.

Not good for either Posh survival hopes or any Watford promotion bets, but glglgl Boydy, you deserve your shot at the big time. Utter legend.

Surprised McAnthony let him go now, just as safety looks a real possibility.

During the window, when you looked dead for all money - fair enough.

Keeping him and losing 200k on his transfer value (?) seems like pretty good business if he helped keeping you up

Darragh and FerJu were desperate to keep Boydy to the end of the season, but Boydy didn't want to wait until the summer and then hope to be picked up by a Premiership club. He's 27yo and wanted the chance asap.

GB is out of contract in the summer and would have left for free, so Hull went into seven figures to get him now. It wasn't about the money though; Boydy has been on crazy wages for ages - Ipswich couldn't match what we pay a while ago - it's just that he was desperate to leave now, much as Darragh and Fergie tried to change his mind.

Understandable Boyd wants to have a chance in the big time - what player doesn't?

But surely being a free agent is a better way to achieve this?

His form could tail off until the end of the season and all of a sudden the clubs he had hoped would come in for him don't.

Or he wants to get into a team he thinks will be promoted, now, so that he can most likely feature for them in the premiership next season, rather than maybe being overlooked as a free agent, by an already in the prem club.

Also, get rid now from the Peterborough board so they can get some monies for him, his affections towards the chairman there may mean he is willing to do him a favour here?

Yup - they missed three sitters before Vydra scored     ....     Derby grinding away in true 'Cloughie' fashion'

Need a second - then hopefully they'll collapse    ...     and Loofah's 'quirky' bets might blossom.

Roffle at Steve Bruise not starting Boydy. Terrible decision.

Good set of results for The Ornets today. Loofah might even leave the comfort of his armchair and get along to a game?

Been offered tickets loadsa times this season     ....    still hate everything about 'modern (SKY driven) football'.

Just waiting for the 'Malky Meltdown' (he bleats louder than tosser Rodgers, when it all goes tits up) to avoid my seasonal declaration that, "I'll pop down for the P/O semis, and join the throng @ the worst football stadium in Europe" - should they get through.

Mackay tilt  and save my heard earned from the greasy mits of the (know) FA thieves    ....

I went to the Watford v Derby game.  Workmanlike performance against a poor Derby showing and they just had that little bit of class which made the difference.  Vydra scored a goal out of nothing - what a player he is.  He won't remain at Watford if we don't go up.  Great results elsewhere.  Almuina pinged his hamstring after an out of area adventure in the first half - I really hope he isn't out for long as he settles the defence so well, although Bond was steady when he replaced him.  When Derby scored their debatable penalty Zola went to 3-6-1 which I thought would invite pressure, but Derby didn't really have any chances after that and Watford had some half chances to put the game to bed.

One observation - Watford have some odd fans. A minority were getting on the team's back when they weren't winning after 30 mins.  I admit they were not playing well, but you can't barrack a team that has won so many games recently just because they have a slow start.  I do stress it was a minority though, but noticeable.

Another observation - the Derby keeper was wasting time over his goal kicks after 15 mins.  I mean, come on.

Derby were toothless - I gather they are a different team on their home patch though.

Watford will put real pressure on the others if they win at Wolves on Friday night.

Wonder if Leicester are getting a little nervous yet?  They have games in hand but this is a bad point in the season to have a wobble.

Well......where do I start?

Middlesbrough have ballsed up again and for once this season we are in form now that we have got out Billy back.  I have a feeling we can sneak 6th at their expense.

Gap now down to 4 pts, and you just know that there is always 1 team that comes from nowhere each season.

1 time!
