Sounds like they are promising a massive transfer kitty even if they come down?

Won't be possible with the new rules! We have 23,000 season ticket holders and are only just compliant. 15m or so revenue to play with though for reading from parachutes. Don't have any players to sell for additional revenue, not one premiership quality player in their squad!

Out of all the teams in the Play-Off race:

Hull
Palace
Watford
Leicester
Forest
Brighton
Bolton (?)

Who would you say would be most likely of winning them and least likely. Be hard to include Bolton at this point

I think Forest most likely and Brighton least?

Have a feeling i can't quite explain that if Palace get into the playoffs we wouldn't have much hope. We would be heavily reliant on how we would get on at Selhurst as our away form is questionable and that added pressure will tell. Also our form of late has been quite inconsistent, but of course fairly solid at home. I just think the team with that absolutely storming run up until the last day of the season, in the playoffs, will be the ones that will win it, especially as Watford, Hull, Palace, Brighton, Leicester are all currently experiencing real exploitable dodgy form, for the likes of Notts Forest to cash in on.

There are 8 games left though so 8 games for any one of these teams to do a Forest and win them all, plus are we going to see Forest have a really bad game and then lose their momentum completely?

I did have blind faith in Palace to get second, but now the jitters are here, and definitely no more betting going on. I still think though my bet with Camel is going to be alive for another 4 games yet, and would be a real nail biter if it lasts until the final day. Tbh win or lose with that it has been a nice added sweat to look out for Brighton's results as well as ours, after initially thinking I was all but out of the bet, and then in control as the form seemed to side with us, and then Brighton to hammer us as convincingly as they did on Sunday, I can't tell how it is going to end up despite Camel being up on me 4 points. This is probably a mug punter loser's statement but I am enjoying the £150 for its entertainment value on and of itself regardless of the possibility of losing it.

The Brighton Palace playoff match possibility was mentioned. That would be bad, but if it was somehow Palace Bolton, with the Freedman connection, that would really be something.

Initially, I enjoyed all of this excitement, but now a part of me wants to close my eyes and fast forward to the last game of the season, then potentially playoffs and just get it all over with!

Good post, until you said Notts Forest........I lost it after that!

We don't do pressure very well in the play offs.

Leicester worry me, as their form must turn at some point and we never do any good against them.  Forest v Brighton next week will give us a lot more info.

Our accounts are out to end of June.
Wages to turnover 66%.

Forest, Leicester, boro, cardiff, Bristol city (157%) all over 100%! No transfers for them five clubs from July!

Not strictly true. Leicester have cut 25% off the wage bill since the last reported accounts, and revenue has risen

Not in good shape (9 Championship clubs fail FFP on the last figures) but the club is doing all it can to get within the limits, such as running a very small squad compared to many in the Championship.

(of course what it should have done is not waste the money in the first place)

You're still about 20% short then....we have about 15 players out of contract in June too so will expect ours to come down to about 65%.

Not sure if these rules come into play immediately for relegated clubs??? Obviously have additional parachute money though.

The last of the season could be very tense, some interesting games...

Brighton/Wolves
Palace/P'boro
Huddersfield/Barnsley
Hull/Cardiff
Forest/Leicester

PS - Have a look at Barnsley's fixtures.

They have to play 5 of the current top 6 in their run-in.

Had no problems beating Brighton/Watford. Think if they beat you next they will be fine.

A little bit outrageous Zaha didn't win young player of the year, losing to Ince, imo, but it isn't much of a big deal regardless.

I think Zaha probably should have been in the top 3 for player of the year too, but with Murray included they aren't going to have two Palace players on that shotlist. Was Vydra more deserving of player of the year than Murray, I am not sure.

How?

Ince been the best player this season. Stats don't lie either for him....

Murray should have won player of season though.

Good to see Calderon win an award, well deserved. Does evening classes for free most week nights.

Fair enough on Ince being better statistically, just think Zaha is proving now to be the better player and I forget about that horrid spell Zaha had around xmas, which should probably rightly take the crown away from him.

Ye amazing what he does for the community and I was surprised to see Alan Lee nominated for his efforts at Huddersfield too.
