Shame too late for playoff run for charlton Sad hughsey come back for them as come with 4 good results.
Don't think we've lost a league game with Hughes in the team in the two seasons he's been here. Only about 10-11 games but would be fantastic if we can get a full season out of him. Really allows Jackson to push on from centre mid, and wiggins and Solly to push forward from full back knowing he will cover the space they leave. Absolutely buzzing after today. Mad league.

Gawd 'elp us     ....     Chompyboro away on Saturday.

Always had a soft spot for Pedrobro (usually between our centrebacks) - I just hope they start the push for survival after the Orns have binked the points over the weekend.

Mr Wheldon ought to take his camera on Saturday, to record what a crowd looks like at Lundun Road    ....

Ugh, much as Loofah feared  - and true to the antecedence between these two sides had suggested,  (the last time we won @ London Road was in 1994, QPHahaha loanee Denis Bailey being the catalyst behind our 4-3 win - with your Noble Scribe leaping about on the terraces like a 'graceful gazelle', back in the days before 'Modern Football' sold its soul to the Dirty Digger).

The scoreline indicates a tight game    ....   Boro murdered Watford.

I could moan about the ref missing two clear Watford penalties - but, if he'd done his job properly there would have only been nine players in yellow shirts on the pitch (Cassetti unwittingly doing a 'Yeovil' - if he'd been booked he would've been banned for two games after racking up 10 bookings. Getting the red means he'll only be out for the Wall game on Tuesday    ....    can't wait for Holloway's reaction, pmsl).

The Spawn of Satan's loins had obviously done his homework: the best way to beat a counter attacking side is to     ....     counter attack.

And they did it very well - too bloody well!

Thank God the dreaded Bs : (P)Boro, Barnsley, Blackpool, Burnley won't be in the Play Offs (Brighton don't count - bunch of uphill gardeners*)     ....    unfortunately Bolton will.

Hopefully we'll get a footballing Play Off Final: after Doogie's Trotters trample Holloway's Holograms, and the original Gay Gang beat the Poof Pretenders.*

Yup - gonna be Bolton v Watford (with Ian Holloway on the SKY commentary team to add a little balance)

* points of controversy intentionally inserted to generate retorts of 'righteous indignation'.

Well, that's us fooked for the play-offs.

Forest v Leicester on the last day of the season is giving me nightmares already because I know what is going to happen.

Not at all.

Too much emphasis on one result, which you were only in for about a point anyways.

Think losing Henderson is a positive too, the other 3 strikers are far better imo.

Where is it not safe?

Pmsl - it's Peterborough not Peckham    ...   you'll live.

There's a carpark at the station, just round the corner from the ground     ...     bring your stabvest, the Peterboro Pitchfork Posse will be out in numbers!

There's a pub dead opposite the ground called The Peacock. Get there early - prob before 7pm - and you'll get a spot for £4. Not my spot though, that's reserved!

Should be a great game. This is a very different team to the one you nicked a lucky last-minute winner against at your place.

Thanks might give that a try!

I would say your teams style suits us completely but Lua Lua and Buckley are out so it will be a very defensive side, probably same 11 at Mboro except Vicente in for Orlandi.

Looking forward to seeing gayle play.

Starting to feel like Watford's goose is cooked.

Horrendous injury problems in defence and nearly all of our midfield and strikers out of form (only Deeney has maintanined his early season form).  Goodness knows what has happened to Vydra since Xmas.

I'd be tempted to rest Abdi, Chalobah, Vyrda and Deeney for the final 4 games in an attempt to recharge for the playoffs

You are scared about ure form Dung, I am petrified by Palace's, we lose tomorrow (i am making the trip) and all out panic stations ensue. I don't think I could take Freedman leapfrogging us without thinking that if he had stayed at Palace we could have been in the top two.

I am not going to lay a judgement on Holloway until next season, as he has time to build his own team from scratch and we will see what he can do. Just unfortunate the team doesn't look incredibly cohesive atm and we have had some really dry spells of intermittent results where Holloway has made mistakes. We need the on switch now please as I think he should probably get the sack if he has us out of the top 6.

Despite him not being able to properly rebuild the team, I don't think he could be forgiven for failing with two great wingers and a near 30 goal a season man.

Unless we find form fast (or play each other!) I can see Hornets and Palace being the 2 playoff semi finals losers.  Wouldn't fancy either of us against Brighton, Forest or Bolton at the moment.

I agree Holloway needs another season to be judged though.  Zola has had a good year whatever the outcome I think, and we'll have to see what rule changes bring in terms of our Udinese connection.  We made a big boo-boo in not being active in the January window I think, as our midfield was always looking suspect if we had injuries or loss of form to Abdi, Battochio and Chalobah, both of which has happened.  Hogg and Yeates are adequate Championship performers, but don't cut it for a promotion team.

For some reason I am still hoping that Geijo can play a part up front.  He's always looked very tidy, but never had a look in due to the form of Deeney and Vydra, with Forestieri the preferred alternative.

Really?

We have 10 points in 8 games, although 5 of them games v top 8.

Really have to win tomorrow with Bolton and Leicester playing each other.

We could go above palarse tomorrow !

Could well do that. I do think though that against Barnsley we were showing signs of good play and a capability of really causing a side problems and despite clearly seeing that niggling annoyance of not getting a goal in so long and letting our terrible scoring record get on top of us, we were relatively bright.

I think with the culmination of our good work ethic at the moment and our decent togetherness and will to do well coupled with a possibly early goal scored tonight against Ipswich, we could kick on and all of that aggression from our recent past's annoyance, could manifest itself in us bursting in life in front of goal. With much more direct efforts and signs that we are really testing the oppo's keeper. We may only beat Ipswich 0-1 tomorrow, but the point would be that in easier surroundings at home, we could be up for a complete mauling of whoever comes in our way.

I think I am going to back a Palace win at home to Leicester if there is decent value, on Saturday if we score against Ipswich and look at all really threatening with guilt edged chances. Probably fell short of having outstanding chances against Barnsley, but the floodgates could open and we could really recapture the sort of form that quite rightly had many oppo teams quaking in their boots at the thought of playing against us.

All talk about nothing really. Just think it is really important just to score tonight and if at all a couple! Wouldn't be too devastated with a 3-2 loss and would much prefer that, probably, over a nil nil draw, as the former, I think, would see us much more likely in getting positive reaction in the games upcoming.

Anyone been to Ipswich? What is the ground like? Might get there early, anything to look out for or do?
