Hi

Nice to hit the £500K GTE, we just scraped it, at one point it looked like we would miss it but 4 players turned up from London who had got stuck in traffic and then got lost! Then we had 3 players turn up who had been at work all day, and suddenly, we had beat the GTE by a few runners. 499 would have been gut wrenching but despite the numerous kind offers (LOL) to be 'put in and play for the house' - we kept our nerve and hit the GTE in the right way.

The total cost of feeders and satellites was £48,500, so under the £50,000 target, so we basically "chucked all the reg fees at it" - so as per the commitment we gave before the event, the next Monte Carlo will be £1M GTD, and I'm pleased to announce that the next one is scheduled in for 10 years time (only joking). Seriously.we will look at dates, and depending on the 2014 UKIPT - which is likely to be £1M GTD, we will schedule the Monte Carlo in.

Next job: ISPT

Cheers Rob

Top job Rob, great tournament. Well done DTD.
