Simon a couple of years ago you amassed big stacks and often didn't convert

What changed in your game in 2012 that changed this?

You seem to play more "smallball" and probably tighter than back then, is this a fair assessment?

Are these two questions connected?

Yeah a lot more pot control in my game these days... pretty much the same applies as my reply to Kinboshi.

Do you currently just play live mtts?

mainly yes...but play a bit of online cash during the week to make some more pennies and pass the time while Shola is at work.

Mr Deadman, we've played many times at DTD and spoke on occasion but don't think you are actually aware of who I am on blonde. I'm the very good looking 20 something stone guy who often wears black caps at DTD and puts you in all sorts of difficult spots at the table.

If poker was outlawed tomorrow what would you do for a living?

If you had to give a player one single bit of poker advice what would it be?

Would you rather encounter ten duck-sized horses or one horse-sized duck?

lol...horse-sized duck

And when was the last time you had a proper belly laugh at a table and why?

Dublin WPT, about 13 players left. On a table of real characters. Dan hardy, Fintan gavin, Chris Kiefert, Sean(funny Irish guy) Ben Carpenter and myself. It is actually are massive part of the tournament but everyone was just having a good laugh and enjoying the game. No real reason just quality banter and a good group of guys.

Depends who had sold the most action ;-)

What is the most effective way for yourself, personally, to study the game?

Wp on recent wins btw, all thoroughly deserved. There are two key pieces of advice that you have given me that I expect will stick with me for a long time, even if it wasn't intended as advice.

Do you believe you could make a solid career at £500 below tournaments in the UK? Could anyone? (Can change figure around if you want)

Yes. I Have done for the last 5/6 years. A lot of this time I was backed but still made a comfortable living.

We've played a microscopic amount of cash together, do you still play cash at all? I mean obviously it'd be hard in the last three months when your fting everything but what did you do in Deauville for example?

I play cash online during the week now and then, but not massive volume..just a couple of tables with Friends on in the background. Generally try relax in tyhe week so i'm really fresh for weekend tournaments. Preperation for tourneys is huge in my oppionion.
Play the odd live cash game here and there if games look good. Didn't play any cash in Deauville, Rake was 5% un capped! So I just grinded sides, one cash, came 13th in 300 FPS side. had 25k so pretty annoying but played fine.

Who was ur toughest opponent u played against ?     JP Kelly, not even close.

Standard nandos order?      5wings, corn, creamy mash. Plain.

Does shola still. Coach you?     Ofcourse

What's ur goals for this year?    To finish it with more money than I started with

I remember u kinda complimented me once, did u mean it or was it a bluff?   If you folded AK pre and I said well done it may have been a bluff ;-)

Are you glad that your poker skills are better than your quoting skills on here?
