We're running it over four tables and all seats were reserved weeks ago. That said some players will still be playing in the earlier horse event, so I would be very surprised if some seats weren't free on the night.

Ha, be funny if you got me all excited and then I couldn't play!

Nobody delivers disappointment quite like me! Lol

Are all the apat tourneys sold out now?

Some seats still available at DTD Paul....and nearly as many trophies still up for grabs.

Do I need to be a apat member?

That's not essential for our DTD events, but we always welcome the support.

I've never played an APAT event but always wondered what makes it an "Ametuer" tournament?

Basically not tour regs., sponsored pros, or previous DTD deepstack winners Wink

When APAT first started there weren't any well-run big comps for the relatively small buy-ins, with the added value that APAT offered.  Although there are now lots of 'deepstack' comps being offered at the lower buy-ins and there's no 'need' to travel to play such comps, APAT is still doing well and a lot of that is due to the community aspect of it.  It's been the blueprint for others to follow, the Sky Poker Tour is definitely one.

Largely this excludes full time pros who make their sole income from playing Dave. In truths there is rarely a problem due to the size of the prize pools APAT events offer. We do ALS offer open events like the Cash Championship for example.

Out of interest Des, have you ever had to refuse/ban/tell someone off for pretending not to be a pro and playing?

APAT has always been a really good natured community focussed type of tour, so I presume you don't worry too much about that.

It has come up previously.  But like Des said, the prize pool isn't really appealing to a pro who wouldn't get out of bed for the 1st prize.  Think it might have been a bit different in the first season though with some amazing added value to the prize pools.
