I'm pretty sure live poker's rigged as well.

Who's to say that there isn't a force out there somewhere that constantly changes the next card until it actually gets turned over?

If anybody can prove what that next card is before it's actually turned over then I'll admit I'm wrong but until that day I'll stand by my guns.

Doubtful... We've got a lad on our forum who is convinced Stars is rigged Smiley

His proof of it is that 'I know it's correct, because I've seen it when I play. The short stack always loses, to get them out of the tourney and back into another paying more rake'

I'm with you on this one Matt.  Have you noticed that the dealer often pauses before dealing the river.  It's so he can do that trick and choose the next card.  I believe they teach this at dealer training at Hogwarts.

The point about sites being up to shady things, though, is totally true, a while back it came out that ipoker had put "bots" into cash games to start games, these bots would play a theoretically optimal style of poker and there purpose being to run more games, generate more rake and skim a little bit of money out of the games as well - this is obviously illegal and totallly OOL, cheating, if you were.

I can't prove they rig the cards but while I regret the original rant, I'm glad this thread was created cause it shows poker sites can NOT be trusted.

Do you think anything can be trusted, and if so, what?

Morning Mr bratwurst

I've found something rather interesting as to your theories (& everyone else's) as to the integrity of Online poker software. It is balanced, but extreme, both sides argued with such ferocity that folks ended up wounded in the crossfire, & needed a triage nurse.

Will upload it later, & I can promise you hours of fun & angst.
