Thinking of last minute trip there too depending on my good lady's yay or nay.
Does it get busy?

Won't be busy today at all. It is currently hammering down with rain at mine (12 miles from the track) and rain is forecast all afternoon. Going is described as good as it was sunny and dry all day yesterday but pretty sure it will be at least good/soft maybe soft by the time of the first race.

One advantage of it pissing down is the wides at BElle Vue morning dogs are hosing up early doors. Every trap 1 so far totally tailed off last or 2nd last. Should cover the exs at Uttox this afternoon.

Raining in south notts too - options today were uttoxeter, cider festival and bbq at local or bit of painting.
Painting looks like its a winner with pub later.
AH well uttoxeter another day.
Good luck

I'm very keen on Belardo in the Sussex tomorrow. Seemed that Varian's horses were under a cloud early in the year, running much better now. With the weight allowance it only needs to run up to form to be right there and I reckon there's tons of potential improvement. Ground will be ideal, top class jockey on and we have a great E/W shape. Anyone got any thoughts on the race?

In that race youd love to get belardo and arod matched best price and 1/4 3 which is why the 1/4 ones are dodging those two. Thought the ground was going to come up great this week for belardo but it seems to be pretty good.

OK, I'll look a bit more extensively in to the ground, I took the reported good to soft at face value. I wouldn't be in a hurry to back Arod albeit the EW terms are obviously good.

Think Arod could get an easy lead. His form really isn't that far behind the top rated. I'm playing ew.
Not sure how many times Maxime Guyon has ridden Goodwood but it must be the hardest course in England to ride.
How often have we seen Johnny Foreigner stitched up by the local jocks in big races there in the past?
Couldn't back Solow at 4/6 with stolen money.

i love an over priced short one but i have to agree here. Foreigner rocking up to goodwood and its quirks. Certainly wouldn't be a 4000/6000 for me here. Much rather be a layer.

Quite like Big Storm Coming 7-1 4.05 Redcar. Ran decently lto, short of room at finish, stable going well lately, has won on gd to soft and sire stats suggest soft will suit. On a workable mark.
