I hope Bruno goes deep, I played with him on my left on the first day and he just nitted up all day, hardly played a hand then opened up a bit last two levels. He plays online, and cashed for 50k last year in main so he's 2/2. Absolutely lovely guy from Brazil, so friendly and carried himself so well at table. He must feel like he's been short for days as he has always been below average.
Go go go Bruno

Third heart on the river?
Brilliant picture. How he gets them to hover like that just so he can get a read is incredible.

WSOP not committing to showing the ME online (esp today) is pretty bad form. It makes little to no difference to their highlight reels. Its not like we don't know who gets there

More likely ESPN throwing a spanner in the works then WSOP. They'd probs want to boost coverage of anything

Yep it is pretty much two entirely different audiences who watch each. I guess they just don't want the footage on YouTube (even though they could easily get anything added removed).
Big shame because the live final table bubble is one of the great moments of TV poker since the Nov Nine was introduced.

It is a condition of the ESPN contract. They pay an absolute fortune for the rights, so don't want spoilers. You can't blame WSOP for agreeing, the ESPN income is huge.

obviously, but the notion of no spoilers is clearly a nonsense
Like Barry says, there are 2 audiences, and given almost every hand is currently being reported, and every bust out certainly is, and ESPN will show <5% more content than that its all wrong. They should be embracing technology and looking forward, not "protecting" it for a few live shows which have a separate audience.
And as the Camel says, not sure players benefit too much from sponsorship

Well it is ESPN's money, & they have a willing seller, happy to agree those terms, so I'm not sure by what definition it is "wrong". ESPN & their Shareholders only have to concern themselves with what is right for them. Giving free Content to poker players is not going to enhance their EPS.
Players won't benefit from the money at all, not one single cent, WSOP keep the lot, & the players allow them to, as they are desperate to play the Event.
There used to be a toptal obscenity in the late stages of the WSOP as Representatives fom the two biggest sites wandered around with carrier bags full of money, offering it to all & sundry still in the event, in return for wearing their patch. Because the patch would get on ESPN.

I know where you are coming from, but when innovation and product improvement is held back for the sake of a safe bet and shareholders its a sad state of affairs! The world would soon come to a grinding holt if all decisions were made by boards on behalf of shareholders

I also think that the players will benefit to some extent. Having the final table streamed and 9 guys winning a shit load of money live on TV can't harm the interest in the tournament overall. Also creates a false sense of illusion that these guys did a couple of evenings work and bagged $millions. I bet loads of recs lap it up. Bet having the final table streamed is the reason why the tournament is full of fish each year.
