Chili - hello! I rather think it's going so fast they might just go all the way to the final 8... might see if Snoops wants to have a little wager when he returns.
Incidentally, they are doing their "now that it's a bit exciting we may not want you guys hanging round the tables" thing so we're going to do our best to bring info but if we're behind the rope, we're behind the rope...

Mads Andersen has to be one of today's big success stories - looking perilous upon returning with under 20k this afternoon, he hit a peak of 266,000 about half an hour ago and is unrelenting in his pursuit of more.

Mads just clashed with Julian, who'd raised to 11,000. Mads called on the big blind and they both checked the
flop. The
came on the turn, and when it was checked again, he bet 14,000 - Mads called. The
looked unimportant, but they both checked the river and Julian ended up winning with his

Karin Lundgren had a bit of a lucky double through, moving all-in with
. She found a caller with
(as you may well expect) but spiked that Ace to put her right back in the running with 60k or so.

Hello fellow mad people.
Reading earlier you will have seen I was slightly miffed to go out in 48th place today. When I joined this superb forum in September I was ridiculed (by one particular individual) for being a newbie to poker (I started playing last April) who had got lucky by getting sponsorship to join the EPT tour. Yes I am lucky to work for The Sun and have the opportunity, but i felt I was playing well enough to give it a go. Well, I lasted 10 hours in London, 11 in Austria, and ten in Dublin (went out on massive bad beat) and approached Copenhagen feeling genuinely confident that I could make the money (Austria was 53rd place - money paid at 27th).
Day 1A here I finished on 30,750 chips, slightly above average, and after the rest played their Day 1B I found myself in 40 out of 97 going into day 2.
Could this be the pay day? Well after 20 mins I thought "no" when a slightly dodgy bluff on my part backfired and I reversed to 16,000 ( ace, two, bugger all on flop and a limp caller etc - and he had second pair).
But things improved. I moved to the feature TV table and within an hour had jumped from 16,000 to 42,000. The cards were with me. Then disaster - I called a raise with Ace ten suited, Noah Boecken (srry about spelling) in small blind calls too. The flop 5, 10 5, suited me, but Noah raises I call and he moved all in on the blank turn. He can't have a five - what on earth did he call the pre-flop raise with? If he had jacks, queens kings or aces surely he would have re-raised? Sure enough, despite my top pair/ace kicker, he shows the five, with a TWO!!!
Oh well, that's why he's a top pro and I'm a Sun hack!
To say I'm gutted is an understatement - i went out in 48th, 21 short of the money, to a Noah special.
As Snoopy - who is doing an absolutely fabulous job here with Jen - said, i went off to board the Booze Bus.
Well, I've past stop 6 and intend to complete my journey all the way to the terminus.
Up the Blondes.
And see you all (or some of you) in Deauville.

Hoorah - Snoopy with his borrowed camera (thankyou Gutshot Steve!!) can now bring you a few images of the last four tables... It does look a bit like Edgar Skjervold (in the white hoody) has a lampshade for a head though.

Due to a lack of access and very bright lights, this is the best shot I can get of the feature table.

And, bad news, in 25th place - Julian is OUT
He'll probably have more detail than I could see (well, definitely actually) but he ended up all in with 89 vs 10 5 on a Q 10 6 board. He was covered; the hand was announced in all its tension by Thomas Kremser, there was no 7 or J and at that second the DINNER BREAK gong noise sounded. Hard luck Julian, and well played.
