Red, is this because punters will just plough against them, forcing the bookies' lines too far?

Remind me not to bet against Peyton again. Just looks like he is playing a different game to everyone else and his offensive line is incredible.

Yeah. With all due respect to you and The Sicillian you probably represent the view of the betting public. There is literally nobody that is going to back the Jaguars so they will have to offer a ridiculously high line to get any action and it will probably only come from the sharps. The average man on the street wouldn't back Jax getting a hundred points. Even the other guys in the office are laughing at me for betting them every week. I can handle it but your average guy in the street isn't going to take that punishment every week. End of the day this is the NFL and they will be getting double digits week in week out. Of course I might be wrong but I would like my side. To make money betting the NFL you have to hold your nose when you are placing your bets a lot. Fwiw I would take the opposite side of the bet against Denver too for pretty much the same reasons.

I'm definitely the betting public, the slightly backwards part too!
Is it possible that Paddy will start laying me normal sized bets if I keep getting the 2nd TD scorer?

Would you be generous enough to put it into context, please? St Louis next. Where would you think the line a) Will open at b) Will be at kick off c) Should be at, if not influenced by money?

tbf.... the bookies will adjust and get it right.... may take them one more week.. but 8 points v indy today with that balanced O now and luck? with no offense at all and Gabbert back in.... was a max for me...
also people keep saying indy overated but I backed them hard pre season and with the addition of Richardson and if they can get bradshaw back for a 1-2 punch..they are going be a decent force

Joking aside, in two weeks' time, Jacksonville travel to Mile High.

Sorry in turn a) we opened -12 b) I guess about -13.5 c) maybe -10.5....St Louis arent exactly a public team......

must be one of the biggest lines you quoted?.... must be incredibly rare for an nfl team to be that much of a dog... hard to believe they are worse than last year
