AND ALSO
1)
don't moan
unless you go all Hellmuth cause that's just funny
2)
don't storm off if u get bad beat
if it annoys you, walk away and order a milk & coke and some chocolate chip brownie biscuits from the bar
3)
don't tilt
you WILL tilt at some point in one form or another - just don't let it show
4) don't drink
alcohol
while playing live
or online
5)
always smile , even if u are loosing
never smile, not even when you are winning. Must. Be. Serious.
Good luck

Hey guys, Tyler is playing a 1/2 euro game in Cyprus , very very easy game, first hour up 100 euro , up 2 nights out in ayia Nap, i personally wanted to play with him but my bank account wouldn't let ,\me withdraw, we are both really drunk but we have a drunk taxi driver on our right so we have him killed most of the time. i know you guys are going to HATE us for playing drunk but we making money the one time we are playing. This Russian opposite table just bluffed the cap driver with
high and then mucked it but the cab driver was still in the hand and showed
high and scooped 600 euro ahahah. The Russian is in for 2k now in a 1\2 . I cannot wait to grind at dusk , finally turned 18 the other day. GG games!!

So my last post was from my friend in a very tacky casino in ayia napa i sat down in the 1/2 game and ended up 100euros up which felt amazing but this was countered by the fact i lost the same last night, ill do a full right up when i get home but all you need to know is the guys are prepared to stack off to a 5 bet with AJ should be easy money vs my AK until the jacck drops the turn gg. ill post in a weeks time when im back and thanks for all the comments.

so decided to do a write up of the holiday this was by far the best two weeks of my life and was absolutely mental:
1) Drunk way way way to much
2) Had a ridiculous lack of sleep
3) Spent more money than i ever have in my life
4) But we did some amazing moments (boat party, cliff jumping, general drinking and buggies)
This is the most abs amazing two weeks ever but now it feels like its down to the hard work need to see if my house is sorted for September then to earn all the money for my apartment but most of all i cant wait to start playing poker again, missed it like hell for two weeks, cant wait for DTD as well might try and get down for a tournament on Friday or something hopefully meet some Blonde's

haha really were abouts were you stopping?
yeah it would be amazing the games are so soft as well we had a russian guy who claimed he won the sunday million on stars then manage to stack off 1500euros when the next stack was about 320 he ended up open shoving most hands, the game for me was pretty boring played really solidly ran an incredible (felt like it for me) bluff on this player who i put on 910 check raised him with AJ on 8Q4 he called the flop i bet 3/4 pot on the brick turn he called i was so confident in my read even half drunk and made myself a pot sized river shove so when it bricked again i shoved and the guy showed 910 apart from that made a decent laydown against a fish with 74hh on 2733 folded turn and he showed JJ and then lost aip with AK vs AJ when the guy called my 5 bet shove and the board ran out 997J8 siggggggh very boring apart from that.....
on a Napa front the bars were amazing really enjoyed Bedrock, River Reggae and Square bar there were 6 of us who went what about you guys?

so haven't posted in a while this is because i've been leading the worst life ever it has just been work and sleep so decided their was no need to post haha. Decided to have a little shot take playing 50nl heads up as i don't have any money till i get paid for an actual role, i was playing okay for about 50 hands doubled through the guy when i hit my gutshot against top pair, then i called a 3 bet with
the flop came
he leads out i raise because of it being a fairly draw heavy board he reraised i shoved him and he snaps running
to pair the board im golden right? nope hes got
GG. Then a few hands later i may have been slightly tilted at this point
I get
he raises button 3x i 3 bet to $4 he peels flop
i check (check/raising here) he checks behind
i lead he calls presume he has a Q here
river and im happy i check raise shove him to get a call out his queen he snaps and shows
GG sir. A lot of this in my mind was down to cold decks and overplaying hands but also it wouldn't have even been noticeable if i was rolled for this siggggggghhhhhhh........ roll on payday please!
Any comments on hands much appreciated

Going to Nottingham today to sign the contract on the house, very exciting times. My mum decided it was time to tell my step-dad tonight after she'd had a few drinks this went down really well to be honest he's accepted really that it's my decision and just sort of said good luck, this has put me in such a good mood and feels like the last stumbling block has gone.
On a more poker related note me and my friend who i will be living with next month both of us will be playing but he's got uni as well so not as much just wondering with it being a Tuesday obviously dusk is closed and not really got the cash with having to pay 4 months rent in advance at the end of the month to put like £100/£200 down on a cash game anyone know of smaller cash games (dont really exist) haha or say a £20-£50 tournaments that are going on would be very helpful.
Really want to have a punt on a sat into the £300 deepstack really really want to play this tournament seems really fun would have to get the days of work as well though so might have to play it online.
anyway sorry the diary gone a bit dead guys tried to post but couldn't really got nothing going on but work and sleep not even been playing poker so.....
good luck everyone anyway

You're moving to Nottingham solely to play poker but you're not rolled to play 50/1?
Have you thought this through?

so i haven't posted in a long time so guess this one will be an update on whats been going on:
I found out i got my part time job in notts which really has allowed me to move over which is happening FRIDAY!!! i really can't wait so excited to be moving over and especially for freshers week should be a really good laugh with my mates. My life at the moment has consisted of working going out sometimes and a little bit of a grind played a really fun game the other day with my friends were our 2nd card was exposed still standard hold'em just one card was face up was hilarious.
Need a few answers from people though where are the best places to eat in notts? (cheap haha)
whats the best way of getting around till i get the money together to insure my car?
anyone playing the £15 freezeout at DTD friday? (this seems like it would be a laugh in and might win a bit never know
)
so just a little report can't wait to move over it's come up so quick and hope to meet a lot of blonde's soon

Just caught up on this diary. Glad to see some people have already posted some words of reason.
I, like you, transitioned from MTT's to cash games with very little previous live experience and have had a roller coaster of wins and losses.
I'll be returning to Loughborough University in October so i'm likely to see you at the tables.
The biggest advice i can give to you is to choose your games wisely and have good bank roll management.
Like previous posters have said, Nottingham is one of the reggiest fields for poker and while it will help you improve your game it can also quickly decrease your bankroll.
If your seriously considering playing out of a 1-2k roll i'd stick to 50/1 and try and grind up the stakes depending on what your other income is like.
How many hours a week are you likely to be playing?
Upto what buy in are you staked for in Live tournaments?

I don't know whats actually happening with the staking now, it was only a verbal agreement and i can't get in touch with the guy so :/
and a lot i suppose a hell of a lot online around work and at dusk a lot playing the 50/1 games like you've said and also the super 50's/xxl 25 sort of torno's seem really good value
you playing the grand prix?
whats a good role to move up to 1/2 at DTD?

Felt like the first trip to DTD went well played the £15 freezeout last night and felt like i pretty much crushed till i busted 20/81 when i jammed my 10BB from the cut-off with A4 and the SB had 9's oh well GG, back again tonight to play the same comp feel really comfortable at a table atm.
I'm playing at least one of the grand prix day 1's next week really excited for this with 50k up top FML! think that would start the year off very well.
I think Nottingham is a great city from what i have seen so far and their is some amazing girls wow.
So just a quick update hope to meet some people tonight got a couple of questions if i can pm someone?
