There was opposition from nearly all quarters in racing for this and they just ignore it and go ahead.

Pretty poor show I think. Does anyone like this?

I listened to some discussion on this early, and some of what was said made sense. Can't remember the name of the bloke, he said that he felt there was more than enough racing already, and wasn't against it for any religious reasons.

seems to be mainly because the lesters are on the night before (big piss up)

quite simple really start with 2 meetings if nobody enters any horses then it will stop.

They will though

Never made sense to have no racing on Good Friday. Everyone is off work for one.

It will end up with a dozen meetings like Boxing Day because as the above post states its a big holiday.

To me it just seems unfair to ignore the industry feedback though. It's also a very busy betting weekend anyway so the turnover and attendances will only be diluted if that makes sense.

On a brighter note if anyone has a nice trier for Chepstow tomorrow please advise as we are on the piss there tomorrow.
