We have to cover two events per month and through the summer thats not so simple as the really high profile events (Deepstack, Grand Prix, Monte Carlo etc) are absent

This is the first of the Mini Deepstacks which run through August, and an update and associated promotion on blonde will help it hit a guarantee

However its probably sensible to do the small buy in event updates Saturday/Sunday only as the Friday night update had no one on past 11pm so it made sense for me to conserve my energies for two flights today, a long haul.

33 made it through then, making 105 stacks total so far for tomorrow at 1pm

The first flight today starts at 1pm, LR to 5.20pm

The second flight at 5pm, LR to 9.20pm

So far 587 runners in the six flights this week, needing 413 today to hit the £50,000 GTE

A pretty monstrous turnout, and great news for players wanting a modest buy in and a whopping guarantee, in terms of future events

Subscribed.

Shalln't be joining y'all this weekend, so best of luck everyone making the trip.

I understand there is a relaxed dress code today, such that blazers may be worn and gentlemen may attend without the formality of a neck tie.

No coloured trousers, though. They aren't savages in Nottingham.

It's the start of the football season. 30 years ago striker Jeff Hemmerman would have been arriving at Fratton Park, or Ninian Park depending on the stage of his career ready for another season in a rough tough Division 3...

Now, its 5 Live in the headphones, and poker

Here we see Rutilus Canis, a species of poker player found in one of two natural habitats

a) A buffet queue

b) A cash desk

Here seen in little seen lime green pigment, this species was briefly spotted yesterday but not for long

Fangzhou Liu opens to 350 at 75-150

Tom McCready calls on the button

Adrian Henry calls in the big blind

All three check down K-Q-A-K

On the J river Liu leads for 1000 and Tom calls

Liu shows K-J to win the pot
