Would love to see baines/cole operating down left. They could rotate at will and cause all sorts of headaches for oppo rbs

Think they tried cole/bridge in the formation pre WC2006 it worked very well for Ireland - another team set up to counter attack - when they played Steve Staunton & terry phelan down the left. Like Tighty I think in games where we should be on the front foot playing baines is a viable option ahead of Cole due to his superior final ball.

no think hes one of most overrated players in premiership, hes good but very suspect defending imo. He doesnt get close enough to the winger and doesnt stop enough crosses, also really weak in the air. Think hes more of a left winger than left back.
