Photos to video software...any recommendations?

Good evening all,

Most of you won't know me as I'm very much a lurker on the site and this is my first venture onto The Lounge but was hoping that someone on here might be able to help me.

I want to turn a load of photographs into a short video with some background music but I have zero editing experience and was wondering if anyone could recommend a free software package or android app to use?

I have tried to google for some recommendations but have been somewhat lost in the jungle that is googlesphere. So if anyone on here could recommend an easy to use package I would be very grateful.

I think you can do it at https://vimeo.com/, I've certainly seen photo montages to music on there but as to how easy it is I'm not sure.

If not you can use windows movie maker which is real easy and free.
