PokerStars - $0.50 NL FAST (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4:
http://www.pokertracker.com
Hero (BTN): $50.00
SB: $37.11
BB: $61.10
UTG: $147.68
MP: $32.47
CO: $67.32
SB posts SB $0.25, BB posts BB $0.50
Pre Flop: (pot: $0.75) Hero has
fold, fold, CO raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, fold, fold
Flop : ($3.75, 2 players)
CO bets $2.50, Hero calls $2.50
Turn : ($8.75, 2 players) As
CO bets $4.50, Hero calls $4.50
River : ($17.75, 2 players)
CO checks, Hero bets $10.00, CO raises to $22.00, Hero...
I have him marked as a reg but I have feeling that's from MTT's/180's. Only have 60 hands and he's playing fairly aggro/reggy stats. Thoughts?

Seems like an annoying fold
seems unlikely he's c/r a worse hand for value or that he could be bluffing much here, a gutshot or two has missed but not much besides that. We're not quite at the top of our range otr so i think it's ok to fold AQ here and call 77/99.

I wouldve thought top 2 pair on this board CO vs BTN in a single raised pot is the top of our range?? Very strange value line from villian. I would just call and hope he didn't back into a rivered set.

I don't like saying "fold because we don't have the top of our range", doesn't seem to be enough of a reason imo. We have to consider what checks here. AA seems foolhardy, since we're checking back basically everything, there are some missed draws (j10, k10 etc) but I really don't know how often these bet for it to be profitable to check to us, or even to make sense in the villains mind. QQ is a possibility I suppose, because that takes away enough of the Qx combos to make it more likely we have the draw and hence could bluff more, but still, I think the same logic as AA applies. Smaller sets maybe I guess, but again, I would feel like I'm losing so, so much value by checking here, because so much is going to check back. Don't get me wrong, they can definitely be in the villains range, but I'm not sure how much of the time they are.
Two pair surely just bets river, and if it checks check-raising seems just insane crazy. I think villain has enough draws in their range that take this sort of line to make it an ok call. The draws have missed, maybe some sorta high card hand that wants to get to showdown, realizes they can't be good when river is bet, and decides to just go for it because check raising looks stronger than just betting etc, but I still just don't think this line makes a great deal of sense. If he has it, great, wpsir, you've run into one of the few hands that's going to call (although I probs call fairly wide here). But, we've got a good price, line is weird and a little spazzy, guys a sit n go reg so doesn't necessarily know a great deal about river check raise bet sizing, flick it in.

Such a weird line, be prepared to see dem pocket 4's! Gotta call tho, the line looks more of a random river bluff than nutted to me, would surely expect his check-raise to be bigger for value if he has a set. Easy to get levelled into thinking it's a small raise therefore he's doing it for guaranteed value, some players just can't pull the trigger sufficiently on a bluff!

Call and I think the hand is wp. $12 to win $60~ it's such a small raise he could easily be raising worse for value (A7/A9/A4 not that that would be particularly great from him I think it's feasible) also you never know people can be doing silly things. If he had jammed then maybe more of a decision but this size of raise I think you have a very easy call, and I think folding would be a fairly decent mistake.
