(very out of touch with mtts) but i wouldn't. Never going postflop ofc and with the image that goes with our stacksize plus being utg we're getting jammed on pretty frequently and will have to call off vs a bunch of these stacks, so it kinda feels like long term a small but unnecessary spew of chips to open here.

Vs short stacks shoves (<10bb) we are only in bad shape vs JJ+ and AJ+ which we have 2 blockers for plus because we are raising UTG they will likely fold KJ and KQ and a lot of Ax's and maybe some small pairs rather than shoving with zero fold equity. We could potentially fold vs the 4k stack. It's hard for the deeper stacks to 3 bet us or even flat a short stack due to the gap concept (think its called that). Don't think it's awful I mean if we lose vs a short stack we still have 30bigs

Nine handed, UTG, with shorties in the blinds, I would throw this away most of the time.

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

what's the comp, what stage?

I'd r/c the sub 4k stacks, and try and flop alot of green or many cards in a row if the big stack does a middle button.

Pretty sure i open here. The guys that are short are short enough that its fine to call it off and do fine vs their ranges. If the <3k stacks and 4-4.5k stacks were more in the 3-3.5k range then i'd fold. I still think it's fairly close though. I'd fold 9Ts. KQs obv a fistpump open.

Open and call 3k stacks. Won't open if I've been running hot and opening a lot of pots in the last orbit or so.

Won't be calling the 4k stack though, I'm sure if you run the numbers it's close on chip EV, but no point taking close to =EV spots when you have a mountain of chips.

JQ :parsley: is an open 100% of the time with these stacks imo
