Can't imagine too much of that 21st century stuff going on at QPR which might explain why they are in such problems and its time for good old Harry to retire and let the young guns get on with it.

could only muster 6 on bench today with the red card we could be in trouble next week unless we get someone in tomorrow

with long out till mid march and no date of return for JRod or gallagher might need a striker

DONE DEAL

Bertrand to Saints

Posted at 23:01

A bit of a surprise this one, as Southampton complete the permanent signing of left-back Ryan Bertrand from Chelsea after his successful loan spell.

Excellent piece of news that. I thought he might have been poached in the Summer. If Clyne is being valued around £20 million then I see no reason why Bertrand is not far behind. A great deal for a top player.

Still look short of options up top.

Really excited for the Liverpool game this Sunday. Not been this excited for a game in a long time.

Good to see Lallana being gracious in the press this morning. I think he will get a decent reception.

Such a disappointing day.

Just not getting the rub of the green at the moment and missing that creative spark upfront to unlock teams. I thought that we played well in the most part although Pelle looks really short of confidence up top.

Fraser Forster has really not lived up to his billing this season either. I have lost count of the number of goals we have conceded where he has got two big hands to the ball and still managed to let it through. Must get better.

Enjoyed the Leicester game at the weekend as well - Mahrez looks a natural replacement for Clyne in the summer.

lol

Mahrez is a wide attacking player with no defensive pretensions at all, Clyne is a full back?

Haha, oops. I just assumed Mahrez was a full back, cannot have been paying attention very closely.

Not interested if he can't defend then, got enough of those already.

He's an excellent player, one of 4 or 5 who will stay at a higher level in whichever top flight league next season (Schmeichel, Moore, Mahrez, Schlupp, Kramaric). the remainder haven't been good enough or are short term rentals
