HALF the field paid.
Note, this is for the 2015 PCA ONLY.
Quite an interesting Blog about it by Lee Jones, here....

Well worth a read for his views on Bubble play, & "up-top" deals generally.

It's good for us minnows that have probably got in cheap via a satellite for sure, $10k or whatever is a lot of money for most of us. A waste of time for smaller events though.

Just turns the comp into a giant double or nothing effectively strategy wise. Logically it should increase dealer costs for the TD as people should be playing much tighter in the early stages as there is much less incentive to gamble and much fewer bust outs during the early levels.

I assume these will be raked the same, which is also bad for players and good for stars, because presumably most of the people who get their buy in back will just spend it on another tourney = more rake for Stars.
1000+75 rake would be fair for example, but I don't expect to see it.

I actually think it would get more recreational players interested, so I hope they try it with an event folks can satellite into as opposed to just a side event.
No idea how it would play out though. The first bubble would probably be pretty deep, so that would suck balls, but thereafter probably a lost quicker.

The ISPT in London worked out a bit like this didn't it?
