Hawkins Bows Out in 23rd Place (€7,750)
The full action is amiss but Keith Hawkins was all in for around 100,000 in chips with Ad-6s and Kevin Killeen looked him up with the Ah-9h- The 9c-9s-8h flop was a disaster for Hawkins and he already grabbed his belongings.
With the 5d on the turn, suddenly a gutshot emerged but the As on the river was of no help and sent Hawkins out in 23rd place.
Kevin Killeen 480,000

With the three table (24 player) redraw having just been done, there are seven players – PaddyPower Poker online qualifiers into the Irish Open Main Event – still in with a shot of picking up the bonus €50,000 that comes with outlasting the others. Andreas Leledakis has the healthiest stack of the contenders with 643,000. The others remaining:
Declan Connolly
Chris Dowling
Ronan Gilligan
James McManus
Feargal Nealon
Ioannis Trantafyllakis
When the announcement was made that these seven were all that were left competing for Sole Survivor status, Keith Hawkins asked his table, “Will someone sell me a sole survivor thing for a grand?” No one did.

Thanks Tighty.
I am hardly Paddy Power's biggest fan, but I cannot deny what a great job they do to to encourage a good atmosphere here.
They employ Mad Marty as MC, with his boundless enthusiasm, he can get the stoniest faced grinder grinning.
Drinking games, pool tables, arcade games, an hour each night where you toss a coin and if you win Paddy pays for your round.
Probably the best free buffet anywhere (and they give all the players remaining a free buffet every day - most only feed you on day 1 - a nice touch)
In short it's great. The atmosphere at the tables is great fun and most everyone joins in.
