British Gas Hive
«

Got one of these earlier in the week, gotta say they are the dogs bollocks. Can control heating on and off and the temp from my phone and IPad. I don't have a set routine because of my job so having this flexibility to do it on the go from my phone is excellent, can only see me saving money now I have it to be honest.
Think other companies do them also...
Anyway thumbs up from me

They have very good adverts as well. Although I have never had or seen the product working I new exactly what it was and what it did from your title and the adverts

When the Hive adverts come on, it's a race between someone muting the sound and me smashing the telly up.

You could be smashing up the telly
With a goldfish in your welly
While Hive is busy controlling your heating at home

Very tempted to get one of these. I've been after a smart heating controller for a while but this is the first one I've seen with a wireless stat. I can't go wired because I've got wireless at the moment for my normal stat/controller.
The one I have now has 6 on/off cycles per day and is fully programmable 7 days a week with holiday function etc. but still nothing like these smart controllers.
For a single guy with a schedule that's never the same 2 days running I'm sure I'd save a small fortune same as Woodsey will be doing.
Thanks for the pointer.

As a BG customer I've had an offer to get this for £150. Not sure I will see the benefit though, pretty much always someone in the house???

I paid about that, in your spot I doubt you would save much, neither would anyone with a mostly regular routine. But deffo worth it for someone like me that comes and goes at irregular times. Also little things like my missus needs it warmer than me, when she goes to bed I drop the temp a couple of degrees, I could never be arsed doing that before but its so easy now I've started doing it.
