One way or another, I think we will stay in the EU. Now that the leave campaigners lies have been exposed I think remainders are in the majority.

It may be true, a real victory for anti-democrats and global business.

You sound rather naïve or one-eyed, I think, in that both sides campaigned with a set of half truths, non-truths, mis-leads and mis-directions - er, just like all politicians do when confronted with an electorate. Why, because they have no respect for us.

There is no moral high ground to be had here - all we can do is use our own personal judgement and discernment to decide what we believe. The only reason that remain is still on the agenda is that (almost) the entire establishment campaigned for remain and lost.

As you would expect, the 'lies' told by leave will count far more heavily against them (as the incumbent so  to speak) than the lies told by remain in the event of a new vote

I disagree with the bolded bit.

If remain had won by the same 52-48 margin, do you honestly think the leavers would "shut up and accepted the result"?

They would have begun their campaign for a new vote the next day.

You can't equate the 2 situations I think. I agree that the leavers wouldn't shut up and would continue to be seen as a pressure lobby in an out of the Tory party. But zero probability of another vote within say 30 years and no one would seriously believe there would be another vote.

The establishment aligning and blocking Brexit is underway in earnest with serial legal and political challenges - the bolded bit is a kind of statement of fact as opposed to opinion I think
