one view Hard Brexit in real trouble as MPs across all parties demand Commons vote on leaving single market. Which would not be passed. Big moment.

a counter view MPs who suggest UK can stay in single market and restrict free movement are misleading voters

I must have a blindspot here, why is everyone including Owen Jones so anti-SWP? My instinct was that Jones, Corbyn, Momentum etc were all basically SWP faithful who are 'entrying' into Labour anyway, why is everyone so surprised at this?

Any corbynista who is surprised that Corbyn attends must have had their eyes shut!

on one level the mainstream media criticism goes

"they couldn't get corbyn to stand alongside x and y at a remain in the EU event, but he will stand up on platforms for swp etc"

on the other the SWP became largely discredited even within labour circles because of events in 2014

i quote

"In 2010, one of its leading members, who has always been referred to as “Comrade Delta”, was accused of sexually assaulting a young female “comrade”, and the party’s attempt to deal with the matter via a “disputes committee” composed largely of his colleagues has provoked anger and derision. Three further allegations of rape prompted claims that sexual abuse was “endemic” within the organisation.

Yet it was the suggestion that the leadership had protected one of its own, and persuaded hundreds of members to collude in a cover-up, that convinced many people it was irredeemably corrupt."

Corbyn standing on a stage next to these "comrades" involved in these allegations provide a stick to beat him with for opponents

Ah right, makes sense then, I presumed it could not have been for any ideological reasons because Corbyn regularly goes to events with Stalin flags and Dianne Abbott praised Mao, so if they were not going to be taken to task for that the SWP seems quite vanilla by comparison.

Not really, I usually write any old shit then edit the existing wikipedia pages to fit what I wrote, including spelling mistakes.

That just tells me that people are happy to buy into idealistic views until they realise they are going to have to pay for it, then they bail lol.
