listening to the conference speeches (i know,i live well) .either all the announcements are being saved for PM or this looks like a govt with astonishingly little idea of what it exists to do

i think it might be the latter, until Brexit is sorted there are so many domestic/trade areas where they can't really have any idea until they know what the arrangements are

meanwhile the Foreign Secretatry has just given a speech where he didn't mention Syria and where you could have jumbled up the order of each paragraph and arguably randomising would have made the whole lot more coherent

I was at a seminar recently where Sir Steve Webb (Ex Lib Dem MP and pension minister) spoke. He basically said the combination of seven Brexit bills and the supply and confidence arrangement with the DUP means that little meaningful or controversial legislation will get passed in next 2-3 years.
