So the tories' calculation is that the DUP is bluffing/doesn't have the stones to walk away from the £1bn deal?

Backing down to the DUP is the most disgraceful act by a politician since Blair going into Iraq. The majority of NI would be happy to stay in the single market and the majority of the rest of the UK wouldn't object as part of a wider deal.

What we have is unionists once again telling republicans that they rule over them.  That means bombs and bullets.

-Call election to boost majority and get better Brexit deal
-Lose majority
-Cling on to power by doing DUP deal
-DUP deal prevents Brexit deal

The problem is that Brexit cannot work on the terms it was sold on as Vote Leave either forget about, or disregarded, The Good Friday Agreement.

the Simplest option is for the whole of the UK to remain in the Customs Union (not linked to free movement, majority of MPs support) - but Tory Brexiteers dictating British position.

ICM/Guardian:

CON 40 (-1)
LAB 41 (=)
LD 8 (+1)
UKIP 4 (-1)
GRN 3 (=)
SNP 3 (=)

The deadlock is broken! First ICM poll NOT to show a tie since September!
