Also looks like after all the piss taking aaron got the last laugh.

Cant see any reason for some of the voting otherwise.

http://www.eurovision.tv/page/results?event=2083&voter=GB

I did see the smiley, but this is kind of mildly interesting.

Our phone vote voted for the gay kiss and the Poles*, but our phone vote meant Russia jumped a place on our jury vote.  Aaron right about the gay bias of the San Marino jury?

And how are we splitting the anti war votes from the gay votes in Europe.  Not sure what we can learn from it for next year though.

* presumably Nigel Farage has a theory about this?

Its a rare breed on Blonde for anyone to ever admit they could possibly be wrong.....

Who was wrong though?

Chompy put up Russia e/w, and put up Sweden with BaldFred.  Said that you needed to follow the market. Gay vote came out, but didn't change the UK vote.  5 people in a room in San Marino, who knows why they voted?

Only one person put an antagonistic post on TfT after it finished.

Germany would have hosted if Australia had won.

Would be a great trivia question in a few years.  Who got nul points and hosted Euroviosion.

Its not about the bet, and being all defensive of your chums. Most of us had a pick up, I'm sure. Aaron said Russia wouldn't win because of the anti Russian feeling, they had a great song, and in normal circs would have won with the block voting they can call upon. Even that same block vote dissented, and that was clearly because of non song related issues, as Aaron suggested.

We are very keen on here to take the rise out of certain people on here when they stick their head above the parapet, the least you can do is acknowledge when they are right.

Clicking the lay side of a song that was 16-1 at the start of the week, 5-1 at the time of the point being made, that traded about 4-6 IR and finished second...is a success?

Amazing how many people become Eurovision experts one weekend a year.

In fairness my mother called 1) Sweden 2) Russia 3) Italy.

She has a pad & paper from the start & considers watching the semis "cheating". She liked the Swedish song & picked Russia in second because of her pretty dress & liked Italy as he seemed a "nice young man"

So on this one chompy you're wrong. Plenty of genuine experts out there.

If you just watched the final, you'll have missed Finland's entry, which unfortunately finished last in its semi.

Perhaps they were doing a Fr Ted?
