Have seen a couple of the dealers in Vegas with the old Casio. Certainly helpful when it comes to chop time..lol

Great thread on 2+2 in EDF section about watches. It is huge though and you may not have time to read it all.

It will either change the current view you have of watches or you were never really that into/interested in fancy watches.

Who's view will it change?

Everyone who has posted in this thread i would imagine.

Ultimately it does depend what you are looking for in a watch combined with what you perceive to be a "fancy watch"

A Bolton lad called Roger Smith makes fancy watches. Do they like him on 2+2?

Also fwiw i am not saying anything is wrong if someone wants to pay £200 for a fossil group watch in a Hugo boss case. That is a decision for them.

Just pointing out watch taste/ appreciation is usually changing all the time once you get started.

just seen this thread - i love watches and tend to buy them at auction - occasionally direct from a jewler i know who gives me a extremely good discount. have about 40 in the collection at the moment.

unfortunately - i only wear watches once in a while and my current fav is a 1940's allaine automatic - though its only got an hour hand - have yet to get round to fixing the minute and second hand -

have bought some crackers over the years for like £10/20 - in fact have made more money buying and selling the odd watch than i have made money at poker,

little tip - if you buy an expensive watch direct from a jewler - ie £3k upwards - look for at least a 25% discount -
