With the panel on bullfighting, but I'd have to throw in walking.

If sport is about doing things as fast, as far, as strong or as high as possible, walking quickly rather than breaking into a run makes no sense whatsoever. The people involved contort themselves into completely unnatural shapes while referees tell them one foot wasn't on the ground.

No thanks.

Football where players earn more than three times the national average wage.

So it's just the wages rather than the sport that you'd like to ban?

I'd ban darts and netball, both equally futile imo.

Baseball.

Only sport that I used to love playing but can't stand watching.

Used to be so fast paced and great fun playing at school.

Boring as shit to watch. A game lasts, what, 3 hours? And you get about 2 decent things per game to watch.

Boxing and it's extreme cousins.

What is sporting about attempting to give your opponent brain damage?

Cycling.

Nothing against the sport as such, and I do enjoy watching some forms but the take up on the roads is becoming unbearable.
I live in a rural location, and every day I am faced with cyclists 3 abreast on a country road in their SKY tops, dicking about pretending to be Chris Froome.

I drove from Sheffield to Bakewell the other day and it was like driving through a stage of the Tour De France.  The inability of recreational cyclists to obey the rules of the road and our generally shit roads make it a recipe for disaster.

It was never this bad prior to Wiggins and Froome's fame, ban the sport and everyone might put their bikes back in the shed.

Agree and throw in all swimming events other than freestyle. Its a race to get across the pool unaided as fast as possible, front crawl is the fastest, do that, the others are stupid and just leads to a ridic amount of medals when they start bringing in medaly in every varieties.

All womens sports. You are either the best on the planet or not. Womens events are sexist and demeaning lol. Its amazing the number of feminists campaigning for equal pay etc but then basically accepting womens sports which accepts them as second class citizens. Ill allow womens beach volleyball. Men shouldnt play that, certainly not in jeans.

Disagree - Iceman/Slider v Goose/Maverick is one of my top 10 sporting memories.

Have to disagree Nak. Riding single file on some roads can be very dangerous because inpatient motorists try to squeeze past, putting you in mortal danger if you happen to wobble or swerve to avoid a pot hole.

Lone cyclists on narrow roads should ride in the center of the lane and motorists should wait for a safe place to overtake.

Plus- How many poker players dick about playing poker all night pretending to be Daniel Negreanu and then put people's lives at risk by driving home while tired?

At the risk of upsetting a few good friends of mine (it's not personal lads).......

MMA

I'd also like to see the end of any "sports" which involve killing or deliberately hurting animals. (Bull fighting etc).

Haha, think we've had this debate a couple of times throughout the years and you've never provided good reasoning!

I agree - but alas it is very rarely Doris pootling along on her Penny Farthing that causes problems.  Its the small pellatons of wannabe Mr Wiggins that cause the issues.  Sadly society's rules usually regress to outlaw the most stupid behaviour, so in light of the Drivers that don't know how to drive and the cyclists that spoil it for every one else best all round to ban the lot.

Oh and Poker is not a sport so couldn't ban that for road safety in this thread Wink

On top of all blood sports, especially bullfighting (is that really a sport, or just public animal torture?) it'd be horse and dog racing.
Seem like the only sports that are primarily about the betting action, rather than the game itself.
Do people watch horse racing without a betting interest?

Rugby.

Only big guys can play at the highest level.
If you are 5ft 7 and weigh under 11 stone you simply cannot play, therefore it isn't inclusive.
There is very little skill involved.
The ball isn't round.
It's so boring
