semi serious question here

when you play a comp with say 1000 starters if your the first person to bust you are classed as 1000th on the finishing order
lets say another 1000 join and 1 of them busts they are now 2000th on the finishing order

what would happen in another 15000 joined and they end up paying 1600 would the person busting out and classed at 1000th get paid?

ok i am guessing they would just move the numbers around at some point

I seriously doubt this has ever happened and if it did, they would shunt the early knocked out players down.

yeah its what i guessed i was in one of the smaller hotter comps and there wasnt many runners in it when it started and 4 players got it all in first hand on my table
i knew that a larger number of people were going to be late regging and thought that they must of tested for it

correct so if there is 1000 in comp when you bust
then another 15000 enter do you finish in the 1600 getting paid?

I think that is what happened in a few of the scoop events this year,   with so few people registered at the start they had to close registration automatically when the first bustout  would be the bubble.

I was thinking this the other day.  A comp had a payout of 64 places, what would happen if they got to the money before registration closed?

Wonder if there's a website that monitors these things.

so my question wasn't so stupid and they have now solved the problem, would of thought there were better ways round it though to allow more players to late reg

There were a lot of complaints about it during SCOOP and I think it only affected some of the high events but from what I understand it has been fixed but I don't know how.
