I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

Out of interest, what % of unknown players online would play a hand like 579T the way this opponent did.
The majority of cash PLO I've played was at the Vic about 10 years ago, and I reckon < 1% of players would have bet this river with a straight.

if you want to fold that run out then i think folding the turn is best?
agree with pads that raising is defo out of the question so prolly just meh and calling. hard to improve vs a big chunk of his c/r flop lead turn hands (the wraps) and then fold.

raising and calling are relatively close, agree with pleno its too thin to raise readless.
Calling is infinitely better than folding, folding is completely out of the question.

deffo call, raising particularly bad with how the 8game omaha plays but it is somewhat player dependent.

What would good players have when they play the hand like the villain? What hands for value are a bet here and what hands would you Bluff with?
(Trying to learn this silly game)

I'd b/b my entire flop raising range on this run out 3 handed
heros turn calling range can be (2p+ draw) set and straight
i dont think we can ever fold as i expect villain to bet all their straights otr and its much more combos of straights than top set and quads.
but thats just what i expect

hand doesn't really make sense...
He c/r a very "wrappy" board and you call, the turn card completes nearly every obvious wrap out there, 9T, 59, 45 all come in and he bets again, into a very dangerous stack size. The pot is $170~ and he bets $100 with $375 back, you could easily ship over this with a straight (which you could VERY easily have) and if he doesn't have a straight (even with 45 here he's going to be hating life) he can't call, surely with 88/22 and defo 45 (maybe 59 although defo much more value in betting that than 45) he would want to check the turn. If he was smart he would actually want to check 9T some % too as he can get 45 and 59 in handcuffs now with a c/r.
Then the river pairs the board and he bets again... he's saying "I have a set" on the flop..."I have a straight on the turn"...and "I have a set/FH again" on the river.
SO, either he is bluffing with a hand like 789x, maybe 867T with turned blues or something that blocks both straights and flushes, he had 88 and made a VERY ill-advised turn bet, he has 22 which he should have more often than 88 in theory on the turn, but now there is only 1 combo, or he had a flop wrap with one of the FH blockers (most likely an 8 obv) turned a straight, thinks you would re-raise the flop with a set and wouldn't call the turn with any 2's full combo and is value-betting 9T vs 59 or 45 because now his line does look a little bluffy.
The more I think about it the more and more i think we should go all-in. Pickman says that we shouldn't with how people generally play in these games though and he knowwwwwwws so I'm going to stick on call, one thing though is we are 1000000% putting SOME more money in this hand, if this guy has 22 or 88 then he has to show us them.

His turn bet is a bit small though, which makes me worry.

What about 779T as a potential hand for villain to have Dave?

Yup plausible, without a doubt he would play it this way ,although you would think he'd be the turn a little bigger but could say that about anything he might have tbh.
Actually that isn't even the only 77 combo he has, there are lots of 77 hands that would play ok as bluffs on the flop, hadn't thought of that...
I think though I would just say "ok if you have 77, show me" adds a few more combos of legitimately better hands as played (actually is defo the most logical boat for him to have) but Im still very firm that folding is strongly the worst option (theoretically) although I see why Tom had folded (the turn bet size) and certainly can't fault the logic...
Full house though innit...
