DTD GPPT Stamford Bridge Final Table hand

I watched the FT stream last night and an interesting situation happened when they were 4 handed:
A tight utg player folds to the button (an active and good player) who shoves allin for ~14 BBs. The (ABC, quite tight) SB shoves his ~8BBs in and Tony Vu looks down at AKos on the Big Blind. Tony has 19BBs total - what do you do?
Payouts were as follows and every player in the final 4 had fewer than 20BBs:
1 £35,000
2 £23,100
3 £15,680
4 £11,790

Panic.
Wish it wasn't being streamed.
Try, and almost certainly fail, to do this maths:
Fold and
i) end up 2nd in chips 3 handed or
ii) 2nd in chips 4 handed
Call and
iii) have a 2:1 chip lead HU or
iv) end up 2nd in chips 4 handed or
v) end up with 5BB 3 handed
iii) and iv) combined are more attractive than i) and ii) combined and v) would be pretty unlucky and I've still laddered
so I'm calling.

I Call,
Button is should be shoving wide.
So even if the SB is tight you have a 12BB side pot where you should be way ahead of the range and still in good shape for the main pot against a tight range.

i suppose i call
out of interest, what ICM mental shortcuts do players use at a live table in these spots, or is it as much about experience of ranges as anything?

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

calling as quick as possible given the make up of the stack sizes and the order in which they shoved.

Well, it was just about the best scenario possible for the BB's AK as otb had AQ and the short stack SB had AJ. And since all the cards came out the AK would have won as well, KOing both of them to leave Tony vs a (at that stage) tight opponent.
In the end the guy who came second went a bit crazy with a short time left on the clock before a chip count would have decided the winner (and prizes by ICM I think) by going allin blind and telling his opponent who gleefully called with K hi and won the thing.

you could be in such phenomenal shape here, for big monies.
Btn is going to shove KT, SB going to shove AT...and so on.
