One of the main players over the last year is moving on. Megan Kelly was originally offered $20m and Lachlan Murdoch increased that to $25m/yr for 4 years but she has confirmed she's off, for a lower offer at NBC. From being a square peg at Fox, she will be a conservative peg at liberal NBC. Not guaranteed to work.

A sign of things to come?

We may see this scenario being repeated.

Sanders used one of Trump's own tweets against him in the Senate yesterday.

Bernie is still categorised as an independent senator?

He said he was elected as an Independent, so should complete the six-year term as such (two years to go).

It's unclear what will happen after 2018. He has said something about standing again as an Independent. However, he has accepted a role in the Democrats' leadership team, despite not being a member of the party.

PS. He has also mentioned running again for Prez in 2020, when he has a bit more experience under his belt.

He'll be 79 when the next election takes place.

I'm all for planning ahead but...

No sweat. There have been more than a dozen Presidents/Prime Ministers in their 80s in recent years. Simon Peres was in his 90s, as is Mugabe.

Biden will be 78 next time, and has also said he is thinking of running again.

US intelligence documents circulating allege that Russian intelligence services have evidence that Donald Trump paid hookers to urinate on each other in the bed at the Moscow Ritz Carlton hotel that the Obamas had used at a previous stay.

http://www.buzzfeed.com/kenbensinger/these-reports-allege-trump-has-deep-ties-to-russia

Is this true, or another piece of intelligence along the lines of 'Iraq can launch WMDs in 45 mins'?

He certainly has a wee problem here.

For some reason I find it quite plausible that Trump was getting golden showers from Russian whores on the same bed that the Obamas slept in.

Could that explain to some extent the colour of his hair?
