What %age of Remainistas are actually going to vote though?

Surely there will be a far greater %age of Brexiters at the polls.

Definitely a far greater percentage of them making themselves heard on social media etc.

Given the chat on here I am surprised at the lead Remain has.  Silly old world I guess.

I spoke to the inlaws last night who voted against independence for Scotland, for so many stupid reasons they read in the sun.  I would have had both shoehorned as Leave voters given their general views in life, but they are remainers.  So very strange.

Shy remainers

those against the status quo holler loudest on social media and forums

those who will vote remain are, generally, less vocal

I started the campaign sitting comfortably in the knowledge that I'd be voting In.

The Remain campaign has managed to switch me to being fairly certain to voting out.  They'd have been better off not campaigning than the adopted policy of 'fear and smear'.

Gut feel is that In wins a narrow victory, 52-48ish at the end of the day (in the real election, not the poll!)

If we go there will be trouble.

Funny cos I am the exact opposite. Leave campaign is making me want to vote in when I was going to vote out

Same.

I have always been in favour of leaving, but the focus on immigration and the knuckle dragging borish people whose ignorance of the subject is proportional to thier eagreness to speak about it (without ever being courteous enough to listen) has really put me off.

I was telling one such lad in work that I was going to vote in just to cancel out his leave vote to which he called me a "bleeding heart" who was enabling terrorism. I mean do I really want help validate that mindset.

More relevant to this thread I don't mind admitting I am voting out as no-one knows me. But if I'm asked in real life I always say I'm undecided when asked how I'm voting as I don't want to be thought of as a brexiter. Maybe summat similar is happening here.

I was just old enough to remember exit polls predicting a Labour victory in the early 90s and major's Tory party romping (chortle) home. Apparently the Tory party was just toxic enough for people to not want to publically admit supporting them but not enough for them to vote Labour in the privacy of a voting booth.

Given the community here maybe summat similar is happening.

Why are people letting the politicking turn their view 180? Surely it's their assessment of the arguments that are turning them, not the infuriating way that both sides are campaigning?

I started out as happy to remain (and was going to vote) but not being that bothered either way. But after everything I've read and seen, I am solidified in that opinion and now I am staunchly in the remain camp.

I'll be voting remain but i want Brexit to get at least 40% of the total vote. I'd be worried about the lack of pressure for reform otherwise.
