Murray is the greatest UK sports person by a country mile in my lifetime.  Phil Taylor is a close second.

What he has achieved this year after year after year of head butting the big wins in the slams is nothing short of amazing mentally more than physically.  It would have been so easy to throw it in and say 'i can't win in the toughest era of tennis ever'.  He didn't he constantly got his head down and worked harder and harder and harder.  I think his mother plays a huge part in his and his brother's success.  She just doesn't accept 2nd best and you can see how it rubs off on both of her son's.  I have watched him live several times this year and he really is a beast close up physically for a tennis player.  I am sure he doesn't enjoy all the physical work he does like some athletes do to get to the very top.  Some athletes love training and the pain.  I think Andy does it because he just knows its part of the pain of getting to where he wants to get.  Obviously Fed and rafa have regressed due to father time but Djok hasn't.  Murray has got the better of him through hard work and mental strength this year.  I still wish Muzza wouldn't throw his toys out of the pram so often on court after losing a point where he has done nothing wrong but the other guy was just too good.  Why doesn't someone in his camp tell him he will lose circa 40% of points played over a season even if he is world number 1?

Apart from that he must be a total shoe in this year for history making 3rd SPOTY.  All hail Sir Andy.  Scotland's finest.  VWP Sir Andy.

The Tour de France is toughest sporting challenge around in my book

The event had been going over 100 years without a Britsh winner, and now Froome has now three TdF's.

He is an exceptional athlete and deserves to be the conversation as the greatest ever British sportsman. He's above all time greats like Coppi and Fignon and level with LeMond and Thys.

Drugs fest.  Not a sport imo.

More of a sport than darts most would agree.

Teaching yourself to drink at least 8 pints a day aint easy.....
