Jack was in the squash team at the University of Surrey with me. I didn't know him that well and we lost contact for about 5 years so it was a bit of a shock to run in to him at dtd and then in Vegas and the main. I can't believe I declined a swap at the end of day 5! It is a small world.

WSOP final table

Corals look like they have let the office junior price up

https://www.oddschecker.com/poker/world-series-of-poker/winner?selectionName=ben-lamb

History has taught us unpredictable results so 33-1  Ott and 25-1 Sinclair is way too big

Sinclair has got the game and balls to win it , one double up & back in it

Got to agree on this.  Sure they get more on a chip chop though haven't calculated it.  I have backed them both just now.   If Blumstein is 2/1 then they should both be about 10/1.  Obv 2/1 looks skinny, but that doesn't make that 10/1 equal to 25/1 or 33/1.   I haven't seen either play, just followed the updates, so haven't made a view on their play.

Tournament is weird though.  Lots of big pay jumps and laddering very valuable.  The bottom 4 or 5 could just blind away if they aren't careful.  They must start on 20 bigs or less.  Think 20 million was 20 bigs last night.

Will certainly second Fraser if thread wants a bet.

Nice find Raver, I've had a cheeky bet on both.

When was the last time a Brit made the final table? Can't seem to remember it happening for a few years. GL all Brits left!

Sam Holden 2011 I think.

Whatever happened to him?

He quit poker to study philosophy.

Thanks.

Two Brits at the final table.

Tighty. Jack Sinclair supposedly plays a lot on line, but googling his online name is more difficult than I expected.  I don't think that many of the newer players bother with pocket rankings etc.

I believe this is him on P5S:

For those who have had a bet.

Jack Sinclair is on Joey Ingram's podcast.  It was on live and has just finished.  No idea what it is like, just switched on.

Reminds me of the superinjunction when people referred to Bareth Garry.

It's so weird, Polk has every single one of the characteristics I usually dislike intensely in people.

Yet, somehow, for some reason, I like him.

Quite interesting.  He seems pretty aggro.  Think we get a run for our money, but should be favourite for 9th!
