No way Giggs-one of the prem's most overrated players IMO. I'd have Bale there definitely. I'd need to fit Suarez in there somehow.

Tried to find a place for Bale but can't see who he kicks out in that team in their prime.

Crazy how non of these teams have got Lampard. 3rd most apps, 3rd most assists and 4th highest scorer (from midfield). He'd be 2nd player on the team sheet for me after Ronaldo.

No mention of Pires either - not even on the bench.

Where's Aguero?

Best natural goalscorer I've ever seen

Bergkamp didn't even make the bench either - definite farce!

Agreed. Same reason for me Lampard and Gerrard are nowhere near the team either.  You wouldn't ever seriously select either of them ahead of anyone in the team i selected surely?  Gerrard, Lampard and Shearer all had their stats heavily padded with dozens of penalties as well.  All three players extremely hard working and made the absolute max from their natural talents but, imo, not good enough to grace the best EPL XI of all time.

I struggle to beat this time, maybe Cole for Irwin but that's about it.

Clearly a lot of the voted players above are just the big club fan boys voting for their players. I don't think the number of honours should be a consideration IMO as the more dominant teams often make their average players stand out more.
