Hey all,

Have recently made the move to Birmingham (I know, wtf am i thinking) and looking for info on where I can find some regular 1/2 NL action or maybe 2/5?

Can't really seem to find much info on Facebook or Twitter.

Any advice would be appreciated

Broadway traditionally best, but more games these days at Resorts World at weekends (not sure what the action is like there in the week).

Best city in the world. Welcome.

I’ve been to Resort World a few times recently. Had two 1/1 games running every weeknight plus a 1/1 PLO456 most nights. I think they have an active Facebook page, probably called the players room or similar. The main 1/1 game is deep, most were sitting 600+bb and pull-ups of 500 weren’t uncommon. The rake is max £3 as well IIRC plus there is a bad beat jackpot and a weekly high hand promotion.

I did hear the ‘players rep’ say that a 2/5 game may be moving there soon.

PS Welcome to blonde.

I would join the group called Poker Doctor on Facebook. Daily updates of cash games and tourney schedules in the West Midlands along with general moaning and 'banter'

Resorts World definitely the place to play.  The games can get very large if the 'right' punters are there.  I was playing there a couple of weeks ago and there was in excess of £10k on the main 1/1 table.  Games are very very loose and swingy.  Most of the time i have been there it plays like a 2/5 game anyway in all but name with straddles etc.

Very well run cardroom headed up by Rich (ex DTD and Genting Derby) with great dealers and valets.  All in all a very pleasant experience playing there.  Shame it wasn't closer to where i live.

It is indeed Woodsey, we regularly have 6 cash games a night usually consisting of a £1/2/5 NLHE, £2/5 PLO, £1/1 PLO and numerous £1/1 NLHE's that play quite deep. Facilities are second to none in the UK imo

Hi, can the rakeback only be collected on the 30th or any day after that?

To be honest, it states end of the month, but that was so my supervisors or myself were not travelling to the cash desk and back every 5 minutes. If anyone has over £50 worth we will do it that day for you.
