Nicely done kev.
I've only managed two rounds in the last fortnight due to work commitments. ( Other people's work commitments)

I scored 100 and 99.

Out tomorrow though. Will report back.

Thanks Tom.

Was doing the same Tom, high 90's to low 100's then for the last 2 weeks 97, 95, 93,92.

Bought some new irons, my others were 22 years old. Yesterday I ordered a driver and 5 wood. Retirement treat. Also booked a block of 4 lessons, last one tomorrow.

I played a senior ko match today and got a meagre 6 shots from a 7-handicapper, but somehow the match was fairly close despite my really poor play. I ended up losing 2/1.

I played so badly I'm seriously thinking about taking my name down for Saturday. My golf was so bad it's probably best described by Boo.

I will be using a new grip and swing tomorrow. What's the worst that can happen?

From the swing mechanics point of view the worst thing that could happen is that you miss the ball entirely. But we all know that the worst things happen golf when we not only hit the ball, but hit it far enough to reach some place where the ball will either never been seen again or if seen again will not be playable.

Good luck with your changes.

No no, that was his old grip and swing.

Not much improvement today.

The new grip and swing might work, I don't know because I can't remember to do everything at once. There are a lot of moving parts.

Hacking it round the back nine

Much better day for me today, mind you it was a seriously low bar what with feeling borderline suicidal after Thursday's round.

Figured out by process of elimination what I've been doing wrong as I seem to have tried everything else and played really well until I didn't Sad

There was a medal for some cup off the blue tees for the brave lads and a stabbo off the yellows for wimps like me with about 30 entrants. I birdied the par5 ninth hole after flushing a 5iron to about 8 feet and had an almost unbelievable (on current form) 21 stabbos going out. Tailed off somewhat and finished with two blobs and a 1pointer in the last four holes which felt a lot like my play on Thursday and put a slight dampener on the round. Ended up with 35 stabbos and currently in 3rd place after a 3-way tie with a worse back nine - you couldn't make it up.

Sounds positive overall though Ralph. 35 stabbbos is a good score in anyone's book.

Keep the faith.
