Whilst checking out my newly purchased album '20/20' by US rappers 'Dilated Peoples' I heard Phil Ivey's name mentioned in a song.  I played the track again, track 8 'Rapid Transit', and discovered the lyrics went as follows :-

Packing more bowls than college football
But still lively
Poker face
Playing my cards like Phil Ivey

I know Phil listens to Hip Hop in the early stages of big comps, but to get a name drop in a tune must feel incredible.

What next? 50 Cent biggin' up Jac Arama, Eminem respecting Joe 'The Elegance' Beevers?

Big times for poker.

It isnt the first time that hip-hop and rap has name dropped players of minority sports. Earl "the pearl" Strickland has his name featured in not 1 but 4 songs by various artisits.

Surely having a nickname that is easy to rhyme helps........hmmmm the only thing i can come up with for Kendall is f... ...

no better not, its a family forum!!
