I ended up leaving Blackpool at 5am this morning, I had busted out of the comp at about 2am, but felt an urge to stick around with Kev, Jen, Snoops and Jon Raab and watch the final til it's completion. Plus, lack of sleep, food and drink makes all three of them act a lot funnier. Cheesy

The only hand I can recall from HU play was a very odd one where Mulla calls from the button, (this was when he the chip lead) blinds 10k/20k and Exley checked:

Flop:

Exley checks, Mulla bets 20k, Exley calls.

Turn:

Exley checks, Mulla bets 20k again, Exley calls.

River:

Exley checks, Mulla checks and shows  three clubs Exley shows  !!!!

It was also good meeting Suited Jock and Mike Lacey (luckyblind) and the rest of the Irish contingent, including a guy called Dave whom I shared two tables with in the £100 comp and kept me laughing throughout.
Finally thanks to Yogi, who had said when I'd asked about the Sunday comp that he didn't think it would sell out, yet it did so at least an hour and half before it started!

Thanks for all the support, it really meant a lot. Well done to snoops and Jen for keeping the friemds and family updated. Great week also for Micky McCloskey, two third places for over €25k!

Also great to meet some more blondes such as NoFlops, The Nun, Ewan Jones et al. Cheif railer Kev's free drinks vouchers much appreciated.

Feel sorry for TK, poker is a cruel game, thought I was a goner until lady luck stepped in with a runner runner.

Trevor Reardon is a gent, I was sat next to him for half of the first day and all of the second, he never stole my blinds once. In seriousness though, he and all the other blonde-ites I met were great ambassadors for the game.

See you all again soon.

Thanks Mike. In truth, the beat you put on me was not that great, it was just the mannerr of it that was so unexpected! I was about 55% pre-flop, 75% on the flop, & 80% on the turn, but you still had a lot of outs, I just never foresaw the runner-runner straight!

You played great, & deserved to do better than you did, but if the cards don't come, what can you do?

Hi BA,

Yes, we're scheduled in for Paris, but nothing has been cemented officially yet. We always try to remain flexible.

I'd like to see Jen play, but these buy-ins add up after a while...

Hopefully see you there.
