...and it's bad news for blondeite Steve Read (Card-Shark) when he squares up to local Paul Vicery. Steve had the Aces, Paul had sixes, & the board, cruelly, did this.......

  ...

and...inevitably.....

 Two Diamonds

Hard for either player to get off that bugger! Steve Read OUT

Hi all. Just reading through the updates. I remember this hand vividly as I was sitting straight to Steve's left. It's one of those hands where you think, 'Wouldn't it be ghastly if the other guy had the bigger straight?'

Anyhow, Steve limped under the gun (or trap 2 - one or the other) with his pocket aces. This Kholi fella raised, Steve reraised, and Kholi called.

Flop is pretty much as tikay reported. Steve bet out, and Kholi called. (not instantly, he definitely wasn't too keen)

The straight actually came on the turn, and that's where all the money flew in. Steve bet, Kholi reraised, etc, etc.

Hard to put his opponent on sixes after calling the flop bet, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

As I was saying, it's not good news for snoops.....OPPONENT.

His oppo had  , sloppy limps in the SB with  - as you would - and the flop came......

sloppy checks, Oppo bets 200, synops calls.

Turn is

snoopster bets 400 with his straight, his opponent then, err.......moves in for 5k........!

Snoopy, being the lovely kind soul he is, decides to accomodate the massive 5k bet......

River is another Ten, & snoops is in Poker Heaven.

This was a really odd hand.

The board was 6-7-T-9-T

The other fella overbet the flop with his second pair, and I called with my doublebelly buster thinking that if I hit I could clean him out. He seemed like a tight player so I thought he had trips or something. Anyhow, when I bet the turn, he made a bizarre all-in move for 4 or 5k (only about 1.5k in the pot) with his 2 pair and I obviously called.

Snoopy just took out Barny Boatman!  He's over 40k at a guess and his AK was the winner (not sure of exactly how this happened, but it was a giant pot) - probably thought to himself, "Don't think twice, it's alright" and went for it.  No point wussing out now, Adam.

I thought Barny made a strange play here, especially with me still to act.

I raised preflop with A-K, Dan Carter (aka Sideshow Bob) reraises (A-Q apparantly... if we believe him), Barny flatcalled, I rereraised, Dan folded, and Barny called. (although by this time he didn't have too many chips left).

Barny -- T-9 suited

I flopped a King, Barny turned a flush draw, but hit a second ten of the wrong suit on the river.
