Learning to beat the game is priority number one.

If you don't get that down, it doesn't matter how big your bankroll is.

Internet forums are a great resource for learning poker.

Try the search feature on this site for whatever you want to know. If you still have questions give us a shout.

Helps if the question is a little more specific, as we're a bunch of sarky bunch of so and sos.

Come on blondes, we are not being very helpful to a new Member here......

1). Try & find a small-stake, local, home game. Where do you live? Tell us, & we may have a game local to you.

2) Play the Freerols on any online cardroom.

3) Find someone, a mate, to take you to a Casino Tourney for your first, Live, low-stake game.

If none of those any good, let us know.

Ohh, & have a good look round our Forum, you can learn a lot just by mixing with, & chatting to, fellow poker players.

Good Luck!

If your playing online, just enter as many freerolls aas possible, I used these to gain my bankroll on all the Prima sites. Also teaches you to play 'proper' poker, well did me anyway.

i also use freerolls when starting on a new site to get used to the software, layout, etc

As much as it pains me to say (seeing as I work for an online poker room) there are plenty of signup bonuses which poker rooms will give you which will cover any rake that you will pay. The astute bonuswhore can play for ever at lower limits without ever paying a cent in net rake.

Don't bother with play-money tables on pokersites, they're usually just all-in fests, go for some freerolls instead (party doing several $500 a day and some WSOP qualifier, too).
