from bbc

21 security flaws have been discovered in the popular browser
Computer users are being urged to update the Firefox web browser to close serious security holes in it.
Some of the security lapses in Mozilla software, which Firefox is based on, could allow malicious hackers to hijack computers.

There are 21 security flaws in the Firefox browser specifically, according to security firm Secunia.

Users are urged to download the latest versions of all Mozilla programs to protect their computers from attack.

The US Computer Emergency Readiness Team (Cert) warn that other Mozilla products including e-mail client, Thunderbird, and the internet application, Seamonkey, may also be affected.

The advice is to update to the latest version (which i'd actually done before this came out), I'd urge everyone to do this (and keep up to date as a matter of course).

Help > Check for updates

That will launch firefox's updater and sort you out.

You can also set the options in firefox to automatically check for updates.

Tools > Options > Advanced > Update

Mods

I suggest moving this to the general forum.  Not all Blondites will check this forum specifically as not all are internet players, but they do all use PCs.

I had a handheld arcade in the 80s called Firefox...it took about 16 large heavy duty batteries, nearly broke the table it sat on and made an awfully loud racket that couldnt be turned down...can anyone else remember this also?
