Found this teaser on another forum and thought I'd share it.  Apologies if it's been posted here before Smiley

Don't google it unless you want the answer as it's easy to find apparently - I haven't worked it out myself yet Cheesy

You're playing a pot with me heads up in Texas Hold 'Em. The turn card has been dealt and you currently have the best hand. However, no matter what card comes on the river, you can't win. What are the two hands and what is on the board?

something like AA v AA and the turn made it no straight draw, no flush draw - so it's a split pot no matter what?

Do split pots count as a win or not?

dunno, good question, but I would expect its a winning hand, not a split pot - will confirm though

if both hands are AA, then you are not currently holding the best hand.

If split pot doesn't count I'll take a stab in the dark with

A A A A

2 3 v 3 3

I think AA vs AA aswell..you have the best (starting) hand, No matter what comes out on river you cant win (if a win means takin the whole pot) so yes..AA vs AA

I'm holding 32, you are holding 22 - the board has paired twice (AAKK), i am leading but no matter what card comes i wont win the whole pot (i lose if the case 2 appears and split if any other cards but the two comes).

Or are we saying that split pots dont count?
