UK Team Challenge Live Final Information

This page contains all the relevant info you need to prepare for  the UKTC  Final at DTD

Dates / Times

Day 1 – 1pm Saturday 10th October (end of play expected at c. 12:30am)

Day 2 – 1pm Sunday 11th October

Play will start promptly at 1pm, so please aim to arrive in plenty of time, if you are not yet a member of Dusk Till Dawn you will need to join, so please complete the membership form by clicking here and bring official photo ID with you.  Dusk Till Dawn cannot be held accountable for any player who is unable to participate due to lack of ID, or due to being barred from DTD or UK Casinos.  If in doubt please check with us!

Qualifying Criteria

Teams are eligible to take part in the Live Final once that have a total of 250,000 Team Chips.  Individuals are eligible to take part in the Live Final provided they are a member of a team with at least 250,000 Team Chips and they have generated more than 30,000 chips individually.  No exceptions will be made.

Chip Stack Rules

Where a Team member’s Team has qualified for the Live Final and his personal chips contribution is above 30,000, but that Team member is not able to (or does not) attend the Live Final (for whatever reason):

·         that Team member’s Team will play at the Live Final with the chips contributed by that Team member; and

·          that Team member shall be eligible to receive an equal share of his/her Team’s Live Final team prize (if any).

·         For example, if a team of 4 has a total of 500,000 chips, but one player who generated 200,000 chips is unable to play the live final, the team chip stack remains 500,000, and the missing players will still receive an equal share of any team prize money won.

Subject to the above mentioned conditions, all Teams which qualify for the Live Final will carry over their total number of chips earned throughout the online qualification period stated above to the Live Final.

·         Each qualifying Team member will start playing at the Live Final with an equal share of his/her Team’s total number of chips earned throughout the online qualification period stated above.

·         For example, if a team of 4 has 500,000 chips and all 4 players generated more than 30,000 chips each, then that team has 4 qualifying team members.  If one member doesn’t attend the live final for any reason, they are still a qualifying team member, and therefore the team chip stack will be split 4 ways.

Late Arrivals

Chip stacks will be in play from 1pm.  Players arriving late will have until the start of Level 4 (c. 3:20pm) to arrive and play with their chips, at the start of Level 4 all dead chip stacks will be removed from play.

Each player will be furnished with a Player ID Card, which must be left with chip stacks at all times (even on breaks). Upon elimination your player ID card MUST be handed to the dealer. No points will be issued to any player who has not handed their Player ID Card to the dealer.

Players will have their individual Chip counts (from the Online games) recorded on their Player ID Cards

1st – WPT UK Main Event Seat worth £2200 – plus Trophy

2nd to 10th – Grand Prix Poker Tour Seat worth £70 ($109)

Structure

We’ve designed the structure so that even the smallest “min stack” (62500) gets over 50 Big Blinds.  The structure is the same as DTD use in the Deepstack tournaments.

There will be not set “dinner break”, instead there will be a 20 minute break every 3 levels (every 2 hours), so we encourage players to order food at the tables, rather than all waiting for one break to order dinner!

Bounty Players

Most of the team members of Grand Prix Poker Tour, Home of Overlays and Dusk Till Dawn teams will be playing the live final as Bounties.  Each player will be clearly identified by their Player ID Card, and will carry a Grand Prix Poker Tour seat on their heads should they be eliminated.

The bounty players are playing for real, so don’t expect a soft ride from them, as any monies they win will be going to The Emmanuel House Charity.

Dress Code

This is a team event, and the usual Dusk Till Dawn dress code is being relaxed for this weekend, so we actually encourage teams to come in sports tops or custom t-shirts (of indeed full kits) to help with the “team” ethos of the event. Just nothing offensive!

Side Events – Grand Prix Poker Tour Day 1

There will be a number of side events to keep eliminated players occupied, and we plan to run several Grand Prix Poker Tour Day 1s during the weekend.  The schedule of these is subject to change based on the number of players who attend the Live Final, but with the first leg of the Grand Prix Poker Tour taking place at Dusk Till Dawn the following weekend, we are sure they will be busy tournaments in their own right.

Cash Games

Dusk Till Dawn will also have a wide range of cash games available to suit all bankrolls, so the Live Final is the ideal place to give live cash games a try if you have never played them before.

Tournament Rules

The full set of Dusk Till Dawn Tournament rules can be found here http://www.dusktilldawncasinonottingham.com/tournamentrules.php

They will be used in the Live Final with the following exceptions / additions.

General

13. Random Seats Rule – At the start of the Live Final the seat draw will be done to ensure players from the same team are not drawn on the same tables. Once tables start to be balanced / broken, players from the same team can be moved onto the same table. Bounty Players will not be drawn or balanced onto the same table unless no other seats are available.

34. Pot Size – A player is entitled to ask the dealer to tell them the current pot size (on their action), and the dealer will count the pot.  Any player abusing this privilege will have the right withdrawn for the rest of the tournament.

37. Showdown – Any suspicion of chip dumping must be reported to the dealer immediately, who will call the floor to investigate.  If any evidence is found, both players will be removed from the tournament immediately and will forfeit any points or prizes won.

New Rule: UKTC1: Player ID Cards must remain on the table with chip stacks at all times, and upon elimination must be handed to the dealer, failure to hand your ID Card to the dealer immediately will result in no points being awarded for your finishing position.

Competition Policies

3. Elimination time will be recorded by the dealer on the back of Player ID Cards based on the Tournament Clock time, this will determine the exact finishing position of the player.  In the event of 2 or more players being eliminated at exactly the same time (HH:MM) the points will be equally shared by each player. Then the rest of the rule about payouts remains the same: If two or more players in contention for a prize-winning position are eliminated simultaneously on different tables, then the prize money will be split equally between them.

New Rule: UKTC2: Team Chip stacks will be split by the number of Qualifying Players to for individual chip stacks.  A team with 600,000 chips, 4 Qualifying Players, and only 3 players turning up will see 600,000 / 4 and each of the 3 players will receive 150,000 chips. A Qualifying Player is a player who has 30,000 or more Chips.

New Rule: UKTC3: Dead Chip stacks from absent Qualifying Players will be in play until the start of Level 4.  Therefore a late player has approximately 140 minutes to arrive at the tournament.  All dead chips will be removed from play at the start of Level 4 or at the stage where points start to be won, whichever comes first.

New Rule: UKTC4: Bounty Players are eligible to win prizes, and will donate any prizes won to Charity.

New Rule: UKTC5: We encourage players to dress in sports tops / kits to help re-inforce the team ethos, so for the Team Challenge Live Final, our dress code is relaxed.

New Rule: UKTC6: This is a team event, and as such we expect players to play as a team, in so far as railing advice, players from the same teams at the same tables playing to avoid clashing with team mates and generally playing tactically.  However Chip Dumping or any form of Collusion is strictly not permitted and will result in the whole team being disqualified and any monies won being withheld and redistributed into the prize pool.  See Rule General 37 for Showdown Rules.

Registration & Cancellation Policy

New Rule UKTC 7: The only players eligible to play the UK Team Challenge Live Final are the actual account holders of the online account, as such all players will be required to bring photo / official identification so they can be verified as the genuine account holder.  Any players found to not be the actual account holder will be disqualified from the tournament, and any points earned will be removed along with any prize money won.
